I would love to see the wings play the caps, pens, leafs, canadiens, devils, and even the islanders several times a year as opposed to only once or never during the season. Ill sacrifice watching the hawks, sharks, and nucks for those other teams. Better time schedule, better travel (especially in playoffs its crutial). I think its a no-brainer.

I hope they put bettman on the screen tonight so well all have a chance to obnoxiously boo him

Columbus is the only crap team in our division. Detroit, Chicago, and Nashville are all no brainers to make the playoffs, and I think St Louis also has a great shot because they finally have some solid goaltending. The central has always kind of been the standard to me. I think the only other division that could be in this discussion would be the atlantic besides the devils having a rough start. NYI is looking scary this year...

well spiritually they are there to enjoy it, that is if you believe that kind of stuff. when i die im gonna chill at the joe or where ever the wings are. all the enjoyment without the $60 ticket.

then just take it off then when you square up like most people do. also punching the side of a helmet hurts equally bad and nobody has a problem with that. edit: im not trying to start a war, and im sure we could go back and forth all day like a couple of stubborn asses lol. im just sayin, theres two sides to every story.

Im sure much of the same talk was said when they were talking about helmets being mandatory, but that worked out pretty well. I think that the change could help a lot though. The NHL is always talking about how to protect their players and this could be a pretty valid way to help that. Sure its not every day that an injury happens because of a lack of a visor, but what if a lidstrom type player lost an eye in his prime and could no longer play? What would you say then? Sure it would take some getting used to but if all the players had to do it, they would all share that disadvantage. The NHL should do some hardcore research before they impose any such rule, but its definitely not something you can just ignore because of how it was done in the past. This is all coming from a guy who plays with no cage or visor. Ya im a hypocrite i know.

ya id say the pens would be a worthy opponent. id like to see lids get switched out with kronner though. id like to see a little more speed in a 3v3 game.

Im with the enforcer on this one. just because we want a solid goalie doesnt mean we need to pay 5-7mil, there will be some out there for reasonable prices soon. If we dont sign anyone else, at least bring one of the kids in to get some experience. Id rather lose because a crappy young goalie, than a crappy old goalie. And before everyone continues to the bashing, I do agree our D looked horrible the last two games. Stuart played awful last night, s*** happens.
