Numerous reports are that Sabres have cut him after trying to trade him the last few days. Many people are stunned. I dont know a ton of him, but looking at his stats looks big and tough and still chip in 20pts. Would he be a good fit here if we were able to move others?

if we lose tongiht, its time to start worrying -
not sure anyone cares, but mccormick cleared waivers
-
that first pop he took to the eye was a dandy though. cant blame him for not being able to fight to his best ability after that.
-
ya just noticed the 1-20 goal season, he got 20 in the ahl the year prior and i didnt notice that was what that was from. lets try this then, would he be an upgrade over emmerton? would it be a waste to have him playing over one of our younger guys?
-
when the puck is traveling behind pav, i dont believe he has control. anyway the rule is, control or not, the puck must be completely over the line for it to count as on side.
-
couldnt even believe his play on the shorty. always defend the damn pass dude. if he woulda blocked berglunds shot lane, never woulda been a goal as oshie was too busy falling flat on his face.
-
i agree with the thought that it should happen but probably wont. but your reasoning of why it wont? because theyll lose the expensive seats? really dumb argument. simple business sense would make up that money quick.
-
hate matt cooke, but Carman explained it right how that play works. looked like a torn Achilles to me.

shocker

funny no doubt, but s***ty for his team. i read on deadspin the goalie actually asked a couple players on his team if they would mind and non of them did, so maybe it was a universal belief he shoulda been playing? as a former duster in ACHA D-III, i had gone through a similar situation, getting benched for a younger, equally skilled d-man and when i decided I wanted to quit, i continued to have a voice on the bench for the remander of the season, and quit after the season without telling anyone before. not trying to toot my horn like im some great teammate, but anyone with a decent head on their shoulders woulda done the same. with that said, goalies are weirdos. also found it interesting to read off a friends facebook that the kid who got credited for the goal after he dumped the puck went on to gloat how he was a sniper lol

man i cannot wait to watch jake allen get BLOWN out of the net tonight. he really struggled in his last action. -
http://video.nhl.com/videocenter/console?catid=35&id=200950&navid=nhl:topheads This gets awkward quick. Not a bad call by Joe as clearly he knows nobody in hockey, but ugly to see pang and the other guy force him into play by play. You think they'd take a hint.

you make very good points
-
I think any time you draft a player, especially in hockey where there are so many hidden gems, you hoping they could be the corner stone of your franchise. Of course you dont always hit, but best case scenario is that every draft pick will be a star.

i didnt think tatar did much of anything last night
-
theyve been there for over a year now, unless youre speaking of a different area. I wouldnt be able to specify where they are exactly, but ive def been in them once or twice, last season for sure.
-
how likely would it be that huskins would get picked up on waivers if we tried to send him down? apparently nobody wanted him before we signed him a week into the season.
-
i wonder who the odd man out will be, and if this is likely the end of lashoffs time here. i sure hope not. he needs experience over our rental emergency signed player.

Denmarkian LMFAO. thats great. what is this thread still doing here..

loved toots post game interview how he called out dillon with the "rookie move" of looking for a fight at the end of a shift during the home opener.
-
In 2 consecutive tuesdays now ive found myself repeatedly screaming "TOOTOO!!" at the games. And im not ashamed about it as some people on here would want me to be. love this guy.

Heres the new line that the wings are skating with today per Khan: Bert-Dat-Flip Brun-Z-Mule Cleary-Helm-Miller Tootoo-Abby-Eaves Kronwall-Lashoff Q-Smith Huskins-Kindl In particular the top 2 O lines, and the top D line look really good to me. We needed a big guy mixing in with the top line. Looks much better to me. edit: now khan tweeting also experimenting switching eaves and miller. edit #2: PP1, same as before, Dat, Mule, Z, Brun, Kronwall PP2, Flip-22-Bert, Smith, Kindl

PP lines added to OP, heres a copy. PP1, same as before, Dat, Mule, Z, Brun, Kronwall PP2, Flip-22-Bert, Smith, Kindl interesting to see 22 in there. said to be the net front presence. if thats true not sure why bert makes it in there. no helm?
