Wings Looking For Defenseman
St. Michael (the Red Wing) replied to RedWingNation43's topic in General
Fair enough and I'm not gonna argue with you. I see you're point about Franson being a 5,6,7 d-man. I think he could become better than that but oh well. Not a # 1 or 2 guy but more 3 or 4 guy. I agree with the Quincey comparison though. However I'm a firm believer in guys that change organzations and systems sometimes it brings out the better in them. Probably a long shot at getting Franson so I'm not holding my breath. But I'm still gonna pass on Bouwmeester and highly doubt Bogosian gets traded. Along with Yandle which I wouldn't mind. The price tags are more than likely going to be steep. Who do you like again as potential top 4-man via trade or signing? -
Wings Looking For Defenseman
St. Michael (the Red Wing) replied to RedWingNation43's topic in General
Right handed shot, can play physical, decent on both sides of the ice and a decent contract to take on. I haven't watched him a ton but he's still improving at a good age of 25 is what most people are saying. TBH I don't know why Toronto wants to get rid of him. Like mentioned earlier by someone they should try getting rid of a few other d-men before Franson. All opinion of course One of the better options I've heard for d-men out there and the price could be reasonable without giving up an arm and a leg. Just saying. -

I wouldn't mind getting Franson if the price was right. -
Teams Must Comply with 23man Roster Limit by Tomorrow

I'm not getting into a panic if Emmerton or Mursak have to clear waivers. I see Bob McKenzie just tweeted Tim Connolly just cleared. -
No worries.

This thread is too funny. -
Mark Fistric traded to the Oilers
St. Michael (the Red Wing) replied to Jaymister's topic in General
Comparing the Oilers to the Lions makes me really LOLOLzzzzzz. Sorry I don't get it. On regards to the trade yes it provides the Oil with some defensive grit depth. Does is it put them into a playoff position? My opinion is no. Still a team that has a lot of young guns that "COULD" in the future make some noise both in the regular season and playoffs. -
injured Samuelsson has sore groin; day to day
St. Michael (the Red Wing) replied to chances14's topic in General
It's going to happen to a lot to players this season no surprise really. Especially to guys that haven't been playing. Was Sammy playing for anyone during the lockout or was he just skating on his own? -
Kovalchuk says he may stay in KHL

injured Helm injures back, doubtful for season opener
St. Michael (the Red Wing) replied to puckbags's topic in General
Our bottom six isn't the same without Helm in there. -

I do understand this but why waste his time and ours? Yes I get yer point dude. And I was stating an opinion. Giving a 40 year old vet a tryout ok sure. No harm done. Next please.

Please everyone calm down. Nothing official yet. Seriously what did you all expect? Wings vs Columbus 22 times no travel. Oh wait we will play the Sharks back to back games damn. Our schedule is screwed. Come on people. 48 games in a limited amount of time isn't goint to be a spring vacation to Mexico. ***** all you want about it people...

Concerts. Who are you seeing?
St. Michael (the Red Wing) replied to St. Michael (the Red Wing)'s topic in Water Cooler
Sure. -
As I'm sure everyone in the Leaf's organization cheats on everyone. You really think that was the cause? Not calling you a liar or anything. But still. Happens in all pro sports including the box office. I wouldn't be surprised if Burke has had multiple affairs with women doesn't hide the fact he's an average GM. Yes average hockey GM IMO. Not great not bad.

Just seen a tweet per Darren Dreger that the Flyers are interested in Luongonuts. LOLOLOZZZZZ

Harvard vs. Boston College on NBC Sports Network right now.
St. Michael (the Red Wing) replied to Uniblab's topic in General
Gonna tune in now. Just to update ya about where I live in Mankato Minnesota. The Mavericks or Minnesota State is having a pretty great year I think ranked 14th in the nation as of now. The Mavs play Wisconsin this weekend in Mankato. The Mavs swept Wisconsin earlier this season in Madison. Should be a good overall weekend for the WCHA. Since the lockout been following more college hockey lately but that seems like it might change for me now. P.S I think we need a college hockey thread tagged somewhere. Not only for our prospects but in general just saying. -
Just seen this. Wow just wow.

Yes the potential schedule for us doesn't sound good.

Will anyone score 50 this year?
St. Michael (the Red Wing) replied to Wings4Life19's topic in General
Unless the early 80's Wayne Gretzky has been reborn. Probably not. Crosby and some others will probably get around 60 points. Maybe. TBH the more I think about it getting 60 points is even a stretch. Depends on how many regular season games offiicially get scheduled. Real hard to predict at this point... -
Breaking the bank for Pietrangelo next year?
St. Michael (the Red Wing) replied to frankgrimes's topic in General
The one thing about the Coyotes is the future is uncertain for them. I wonder if anyone in Phoenix even knew there was a lockout? Back on topic though I don't see us breaking the bank on any d-man anytime in the future. This off season's crop doesn't look good at all... -
Now What Can the NHL Do For You, the Fans
St. Michael (the Red Wing) replied to WingsFan19's topic in General
Something should be done but like someone said in another thread. Highly unlikely. The best thing would be for Bettman to go tbh. I could settle on that. -
