Gah, I don't even know where to start. I suppose I could start with Kindl, but that would only be the beginning. Everybody, you can't score if A) you don't have the puck, and B) you're in your own zone all the time. I would like to beat these guys more than once this year, if you don't mind!! edit: rage-fueled grammar breakdown, sorry

This isn't really a funny picture, exactly, but it has a goodly amount of zing, so I thought it would work here (plus, I've lost track of the Guardians thread). Saw this on Twitter: Too effin' right.

Which active goalie would you select to start a franchise?

Even though I said I wasn't going to take the salary cap into account, you know that Lundqvist is going to want a boatload of money. Same with Miller and Luongo. Sure, any of them would be great to have, but if I could get a serviceable goalie for considerably less than what they make, I don't think I could say no to that. -
Ditto! He still looked a little scrambly to me yesterday, but he did keep it down to 2 goals, so let's hope he's been borrowing Ozzie's STFU switch and get it buttoned down even more. Here's to Howard, may he be lazy and suck! Rafalski could DEFINITELY use to shape up. I won't ring Bert's neck if he doesn't have a perfect game tomorrow, but since we are a man down on defense, Rafalski really needs to show everybody his best, especially if Kindl's going to have a couple of missteps. It's one thing to have a rookie malfunction, but your veteran guys need to act like veterans at times like those and not be pulling the same kind of crap! Also, I hope Zetterberg gets his scoring groove back now that best buddy Datsyuk is back. I mean, I'm not complaining too much - look at that awesome PK last night - but I'm spoiled and like to see him score goals, if for no other reason than improving morale.

I like Quick quite a lot...maybe it's because other than Howard/Ozzy, he's the goalie I watch the most, but he always looks unflappable even when he's having a bad night. Yeah, he's young, but he (and the rest of the team) had a hard time last month, and it looks like he's been able to recover from that pretty well, so that gives me some confidence in him. Also, even though he has some good defense in front of him to help him out, I still think he's pretty darn good in his own right. When Doughty was having trouble at the beginning of the season, he was still doing well if I remember right. Jeez, I feel like I'm going to jinx him or something. Well, as long as the jinx works on the 28th, I can live with that. Bryzgalov or Varlamov might be nice, too. I'm not taking the cap into consideration, though. -
@RedWingsFeed tweets headlines and links to articles all day long - good stuff! Heck, they even cover Yzerman-related Lightning news.

Me too...totally came in here to say, "Ovechkin, apparently," but then got the message.
-
Yeah, me too. Jimmy had an okay game at Columbus, but right before that he let in 5 from the Sens, so I'd like to ride the JMac train for a while and see how consistent he can be. I think so, too. Since they've already given him some extra time, I assume it was the right amount of extra time, or else he'd be getting more of it. If he's playing tomorrow, I've got to assume that means he's taken his time, healed completely, and is rarin' to go. We've been winning without him in January; if he needed more time than this, he would've got it.

So true, so true. Just when you think they're on the upswing, they tank again. I agree with everybody who's saying that we could do with a couple of changes.
-
I've got to believe they can AT LEAST improve from this. If we could score 7 goals just 2 friggin' games ago, we can surely dig ourselves out of this hole. Even with injuries, I know we can do better than this because we have been! If this isn't the rock bottom you hit before you start climbing up again, I don't know what is. At least I hope it is. Otherwise, yeah, we're really screwed. But I'm not ready to believe that just yet. Forgot to say, thank you, Abdelkader, for at least having some freaking heart. While everyone else was out taking a Sunday skate at the local rink, you at least brought it to 'em a little. Am bummed that you couldn't get a fight in, but only because the refs are a bunch of yambag jigglers.
-
Oh gawwwwdddd....not more of Pierre's in-ass -- I mean, glass -- reporting.
-
There's really nothing much to add to this, is there? Well, except maybe DIE REFS DIE, but that kinda always goes without saying.
-
And the Preds are taking our cannoli, too.
-
Well, of course not, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't pay somebody, anybody $20 to take a swing at O'Brien right now.
-
Let's at least get a fight in. If we're going to take a bunch of penalties anyway, might as well make 'em count! Abs vs. SOB, doooo it.
-
Okay, okay, I take back what I said about Z-Bert-Mule being a good line. Can we do something else now?!?! I loled when they booed McDonald...obviously they haven't been watching Howard lately.
-
Pekka Rinne is the best goalie ever! I just love that guy; he's really great, and I hope he does well tonight. (I couldn't bring myself to say, "I hope he gets a shut out"...too soon, too soon.) On the other hand, we are lazy and suck. (edit: sorry, I forgot I posted in here once already, or else I would've just put this in the other post)

Rick DiPietro out 4-6 weeks with broken face.
MulesWillFly93 replied to Rick Zombos Ghost's topic in General
Yeah, but apparently he's going for a different category now: dumbest. -
Yep, no hope of getting rid of Olczyk or Emrick; they're on NBC, too. I know I'm probably in the minority, but I like Emrick...Edzo, on the other hand, can take a really long vacation any time now. Okay, now who's that guy who always says crap like, "Pronger flits down the ice like a butterfly and does a scene from Swan Lake with Crosby"? Is that Daryl Reaugh? Whoever it is, PLEASE let that guy be gone.
-
Make that one for me and a double for Jobu!
-
Well darn it, but I sure don't want him to come back TOO soon, so take your time and heal up, buddy! At least we got Cleary back now.

2/2 GDT: Franzen 5 + Red Wings 2 (7) at Senators (5)

Screw those Ovechtrick ads...we've got the real deal! Okay, so it wasn't 9, but how much cooler is an actual 5 goals than 9 fictional ones? Muletrick, Muletrick, Muletrick! And how nice of him to get a W for Best Buddy Bert on his birthday! Aww. He even tried to pass to Bert for an empty netter there like a gentleman. I like that Z-Bert-Mule line for the moment...don't know what's going to happen with Datsyuk back, but it worked for me tonight. -
Nananananana...Shana-haaaan! I can't remember if I got this from the Hottest Wing thread or from Shanny on Twitter...whoever it was, thanks for supplying me with a good laugh whenever I see this pic! Man, if that doesn't show what a team player Stevie is, I don't know what does...it takes a good sport to be Robin.

These are all right, but I like the old ones better.
