You know how when one person of an old couple dies, then the other dies a little while later of a "broken heart". I think that is what happened here. Budd was old but hockey kept him alive. Bettman and company took that away from him and us. I agree they should use a taped "One minute left in the period" at the end of the game every game. And I am sure that there will be a jersey in the rafters if we even see another season. Rip Budd!

Most likely the story is BS. I have a picture of one of Doug Brown's Stanley Cup rings on my hand next to my wedding ring (which is pretty unique). I took the picture at a signing that he was letting people try on one of his rings while signing and taking pics. So it would not be hard for this person to get a picture with a wings ring, especially one that may do signings.

I think there is a CCTV camera pointed at one or two of the round-abouts in town here that might help with that fix.

They got him back last night in a 3-way deal with Tampa & Colorado. Cost a first round pick and some cash i think.

I hope they dump Kindl since they just picked up Quincey but it is always possible that they acquired Quincey just to trade him along in a bigger deal. Other than Kindl, Conklin and maybe some minor league players I really don't want them to get rid of anyone right now. Emerton and Mursak are both doing well and will continue to grow with time. If there is a deal it will most likely be something noone saw coming because that is how Kenny works.

If you watch that video again there are a LOT of pucks down there. how many shots did he attempt before getting one to go in. I am pretty sure I could sit up there and fire 25 pucks and get a couple to go in. Ok maybe there are not a LOT, I thought the black things already in the net were pucks but they look to be something else, but there are a good 4 or 5 on the ice already.

One thing they do not mention is that the founders of Amway are the guys who own the Van Andel Arena and the Griffins in Grand Rapids. It is all about keeping things in the family of course, just like Little Caesar's Pizza being a sponsor because the Illitch's own that. I do not think this is wrong however. I am very grateful to those that have put a lot of money into Grand Rapids and brought hockey here. I used to be a season ticket holder for the Griffins but can not afford it any more. I do however like to go to a bunch of games each year and see the guys who are up and coming. It has been great to watch guys like Helm, Hudler, Kronwall & the like play over the years. Also meeting and hanging out with many of them over the years. They are also hosting a Red & White game here again this year that I want to attend.

Well according to your list there Nicklas Lidstrom will be the 5th, or is the one in question supposed to come out before his? I voted Kronwall but any of those 3 would be a good choice.

No rentals that I know of. I have never skated in it but I have never heard of them having rentals. You have to sign a waiver and provide your own equipment. From the Promo info on the Griffins website... "Post-Game Skate: Presented by J & H Family Stores, bring your skates and take to the ice for the post-game skate." you can read it all here.
