Damn, we can't even win a fight, but it looks like at least someone wasn't happy with how Saturday went.

I'm not completely sure how the salary cap works, but I'm ok with trading away some of the guys for just draft picks. Let some younger guys (Nyquist, etc.) get some actual NHL experience the rest of this short season. Use the money freed up from the trades in the free agency market. Hell, I'd trade a guy like Samuelsson for a bag of pucks as long as his salary doesn't count against our cap.

I said it during last season and I believe it even more so now. Every person on this teams should be on the trading block except for Datsyuk, Helm, and I guess Z and Howard.

Time to pull the goalie?

So why aren't we playing guys like Nyquist? Because they can't "handle" the physical play? Don't give me that bull s***. Would you rather have a guy that can give you a chance to score, or someone that could take a hit a little better?

I'm ok with losing to the best team in the league, but there's a difference between losing and getting dominated.

If we were going to sign an old winger, why not pay an extra 2 mil to get Jagr instead of Samuelsson.

I can't describe how excited I am.

I live in Alabama and went to the Wings game in Atlanta a few years ago and a playoff game this year in Nashville. There were a ton of wings fans at both games. I'd wager a large sum of money that most of those people have no affiliation with Detroit or Michigan. Many people in the 90s AND EVEN TODAY are became and are becoming Red Wing fans simply because they are winning. I know a lot of people that have recently started watching the NHL and are choosing to become fans of other teams because they DON'T want to be viewed as bandwagon fans. Having bandwagon fans is NOT a bad thing. It simply means you are doing something right.

This year? No. In the near future if Mrazek pans out? Yes.

I don't see how Detroit isn't a bandwagon team. That's not saying you are a bandwagon fan. It's just a lot of Red Wings fans are fans because of their success since the 90s. Teams like Pittsburgh may be bigger bandwagon teams right now, but Detroit is still one of the top ones. It's amazing how many of the fans down here in the South are either Pittsburgh, Detroit, Chicago, Montreal, etc. fans.

Wow, I get your point. I can count on two fingers the amount of times I've been to that part of the state and I've lived here 24 years.

I really enjoy living in Alabama. Just wished I lived in another part of the state than Montgomery.
