I dont have a problem with the suspension really, its charging all the way, and to me, looks like he leaves his feet to launch into him. I think its a good call on the NHL's part. If he doesnt leave his feet, and launch at him... then my opinion changes. But leaping up to hit the guy, really forces the body and head/neck of the guy getting hit to jump back, and potentially leading to him falling backwards to the ice... "head first"

To me, that's the big thing. You should expect these guys to make a few mistakes along the way. Their inexperience against the NHL's top talent is going to show every now and then, you just can't help that. What you have to do is hope that they learn, get coached up, and get better... unfortunately for us, that needs to happen very fast.

Im still confused why anyone, Babcock and Holland included are actually surprised by this (if they are, and Holland probably is based on the contract). This guy is apparently made of glass. I said it in the GD thread last night... I'm surprised he made it through almost two games. Sucks for him though... and us since we're so shaky at D already. -

The first effort should be consider a shot, because the puck left his stick... hit Howard, then atkinson hits it again when its between howards legs.
