Well, they do have a bunch of young, talented players from so many early, early draft picks over the years, and they still suck. So... that explains alot. Seems strange they havent turned things around there yet.

Well, in a way I get it... we like to play solid, winning hockey. Young players make mistakes. Let them learn in the system the right way, our way, and let them ripen. To do that, you have to hang onto the vets who know the system, you know limit the mistakes. Young guys are always going to make the mistakes, we want to limit that. However I agree, at some point in time... you need to move on. That time is now, actually it was last year IMO for some of these older guys on the roster, and these young guys ready to move it on up, before we loose them.

If he does get benched anytime soon then we've got some serious other questions to answer.

Samuelsson on this roster just doesn't work IMO. I dont see the value that he brings to this team at all. As much as I dislike Franzen and his laziness... I'd rather see Sammy gone, Franzen in the lineup somewhere deep, and Tatar on the third or second line.

Because he's a damn good hockey player, that deserves to be an everyday player on this team... or he's going to be a start elsewhere, rather than here.

Much better than watching Franzen skate around casually in circles all night.

On my CBCE on Bell satellite, its showing Montreal/Colorado.... but on CBCHC, CBCLH, CBCEH, it says detroit/edmonton on my guide, thats channels 1130, 1126, and 1120 if you have Belle Satellite. Howard was outstanding I thought... especially down the stretch. I think in the offseason, we need to continue to infuse the youth into the lineup. It's time to move on from Franzen. Bertuzzi. etc. etc. Time to get these youngsters up permanently. That includes Tatar before he decides to leave for his lack of playing time in the big show. Keep the youth movement going, watching these older guys, especially tonight shows... its time to move on IMO.

How that's not a penalty on Bolland for that hit from behind on Nyquist... I'm really not sure though. That's pretty sad... Nyquist shoulda stayed down and pretended to be hurt I guess... apparently that's the only way the NHL calls those hits.
