Updated my list. Just a couple years ago it was only Franzen and maybe Abdelkader. Not liking this new direction we're headed.

Nyquist Franzen Abdelkader Helm Tatar Smith I've seen them all dive or embellish this season. Am I missing anyone? For the record, I hate diving pretty much more than anyone. Kipwinger sounds like me talking to my friends haha

You're right. Weiss has way better hands and hockey sense. It's not even close. In saying that, I'm still a big Helm fan. But there's a reason he's never put up anywhere near as many points as Weiss did for so many years in Florida.

Smith definitely won't be captain. He's been arrested twice and doesn't seem like the sharpest knife in the drawer. Tatar also seems to lack the smarts to wear a letter. My money would be on DeKeyser--just the intelligence in his game and the way he seems to handle himself off the ice. And I'd put Nyquist behind him for pretty much the same reasons. Of our prospects, Larkin, Nastasiuk, Ouellet, and possibly even Mantha, I could see wearing letters one day.

Considering he scored 28 in 57 last season, I'd think most people would be kinda disappointed with 20-25 goals actually. While that might not be fair, it's what happens when you have a run like he did much of last season.

Legwand is as good as gone. Alfredsson and the Wings will talk in August when he has a better idea of his health situation. Unfortunately, we already know about Quincey. -
I would think Stevie could get more than a 6th round pick for Gagner. He's only 24 and has a $3.2 million dollar cap hit over the next two seasons. Good job freeing up cap space, but bad asset management IMO.
