He's not being used with his strengths. He was almost a PPG earlier this year playing in a top 6 role, now he is playing with players that aren't that good in comparison to how he plays the game. He deserves to be given top 6 role. No offense to Abby but he doesn't deserve to be on the top line over Alfie, especially since he has 1/3 the amount of points.

Those teams also don't have Datsyuk and Zetterberg is my point. They don't have two elite two way forwards yet they have either gone just as far as the Wings, or further in the last couple years. Did you forget we had Lids, Raf, Kronwall, Stuart and Howie couldn't win? Those 4 are better than any top 4 you just named. Then mix in D and Z. Do you remember when Nashville knocked us out ? Do you remember the performance Rinne put on? We couldn't even score. Toronto forwards are fast but suck ass on defense, and their top 4 are not good at all (I watch quite abit of Leaf games). They took Boston to game 7 and should have went to the next round except for the choke. We have a better team then New York, but Lunqvist keeps them in every single year and have made it further then us in a couple playoffs now since 2009. Howard just doesn't have what it takes to get it done when it matters. This year just screams, not so good D = your true goalie.

Same reason Anthony Mantha isn't on the Wings. It doesn't work that way. I actually like Howard, he was great last year, but I don't care what Howard has done in the past because it doesn't translate into this year. We have lost every year he was in net in the playoffs, not entirely his fault but other goaltenders with less talent in front of them find a way to get it done (Rangers, Leafs, Nashville, Phoenix). We are better then all those teams the last couple years. He just can't get it done, and I highly doubt we win a cup with him. He's getting paid as a top 10 goalie, yet his stats show he's a top 25 goalie.

These are his stats after tonight's game. He could finish the season a goal per game. 56+62 = 118 points in 56 games

You do realize Howard lost by the exact same goal differential as Mrazek right ?

Except Mrazek is 21, and isn't making 6 million dollars / year. Howie blows this year, no stat will change that.

Well with calls like that (10/10 score for that dive on MSL), I will go back to accomplishing some work. Hopefully I can catch the last 10 min of the third if it's a close game.

I'm saying you play the goalie that gets you wins irregardless of who lets in less / more goals. When Gus plays they win, when Howard plays they don't. As I said, start Mrazek he can't be any worse then Howard.
