The difference, though, is that Hossa already has more money than he knows what to do with. For a guy in Filpulla's position, especially already having won a cup, I think almost anyone would take the money (if its considerably more than Detroit will pay).

The offense is definitely pretty weak as it stands, but its still early. The Nucks finished 7th in GAA last year, with a defense that had one of the most man games lost in the league (and most to top 4 guys), as well as Luongo having an off year, by his standards. I don't recall Florida ever finishing that high. They also were strapped by $10 million between Naslund and Morrison, and were still in the playoff hunt all season. Right now they are at basically the same team, minus an underachieving Naslund. I'm not sure where this sudden plummet is going to come from. And just FYI in addition to Bernier, they've added Wellwood and Hordichuk, and have a ton of money to spend.

Sedins *might* make your 3rd line? Hilarious, considering they outscored your 3rd highest scoring forward by 32 and 34 points.

Calgary is 28-6-2 at home Bieksa Mitchell Ohlund Cowen Cooke Burrows you're right, no grit at all.

I'd say Willie Mitchell is pretty key, he's been a rock back there this year. But it also shows that they can win close, tight checking (playoff style) games.... Very nice little game summary there btw

I wonder if he'll be booed every time he touches the puck like he was at the Joe after his suspension

wow, the tone has sure changed since the thread a couple weeks ago. I look forward to seeing bert in the red.
