Babcock wasn't hired with the expectation that they'd win now.. he was hired to turn their franchise around. That's going to take time with how awful they've been. He was just being realistic, not taking the easy way out imo. Also, I'm pretty sure Harbaugh was saying similar "it's going to take time" things in his first pressers. He's certainly exceeded expectations.

Whether Babcock is the best or not, I don't know.. But you could get three best coaches together to coach that leafs team and they'd still suck. Their roster is horrible and they look like the sabers did last year.. tanking for Matthews. I hope they last and because of the new draft lotto, end up with the fourth pick.

I'm not surprised either..and he's definitely earned it. He's an absolute steal on his current contract. If Kenny could pull some hometown discount esque magic and get him on a 4x4 contract, I'd be ecstatic. It'll likely be around what zombo posted and worth every penny.

Wings also had two scouts at the leafs-stars game.. so it would appear we're scouting the leafs. Could just be planning to face them, could be for trade potential.. who knows. On that note: JVR plz

Yeah I heard that as well as it was a clean break.. wouldn't be surprised if he was back earlier. Definitely could've been worse.

Fowler would be awesome. They're looking for goal scoring last I heard though so they'd probably want someone like Tatar or pulk plus a prospect and/or pick in return.

Surgery that will supposedly involve plates and screws..he could be out three months or more. It'll be interesting to see how he bounces back from this so early in his career.

I like the looks of that. Hopefully green comes back as an offensive force.. Especially on the power play.

Kopitar in a wings jersey would be a dream come true. He's part of the reason I like the Kings. Also, out of nothing more than curiosity, I wonder when the last time a sign then trade happened. I can't think of one. usually it's the other way around. Anyway, trading for him would be the tough part.... I can't imagine him not re-signing here.

Sens have had a lot of injuries lately too.. hopefully we can take advantage. I think the wings will outplay the sens but it'll be close. Hoping to see some depth scoring out of us tonight. LGW!
