the passing looks pretty solid all around. Larkin and Svech stick out for sure. And whoever that second blackhawk fighter was got man handled
-
number9's picture though also, that top six looks so badass.

Hate both of those teams, but I love watching them meet in the post season.

We had a guy we faced all the time that had white skates.. he got a lot of "what, were they all out of hockey skates?"
-
Agreed. He's the exact type of center the wings like.. But he's never leaving LA.
-
Keep your triple stripes off my winged wheel, dammit!!

Abdelkader entering contract year, possible $4M extension?
amato replied to Vladinator16's topic in General
I agree Abby and Kesler aren't really comparable but, I see no reason why we should doubt Abby replicates last season..? He really seems to have found his game. As long as he works hard again like we know he will, and gets the same opportunity under Blashill that he did under babs, 20+ goals and 40+ points doesn't seem out of the question at all. -
According to Wikipedia, yep.. "Nikulin is good friends with Alexander Ovechkin, with whom he played four seasons with during his tenure with Dynamo Moscow. He is also the godfather of Nikulin's son." https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ilya_Nikulin

Abdelkader entering contract year, possible $4M extension?

If Abby has another season like he did, I'd have no problem with 4 mill.. He's a hard worker and he's earned it. Whatever he ends up getting, I bet he'd get more on the open market.. not by a ton but he seems like he'd be the type of guy to take less and stay here rather than leave. -
It could just be that he wants to see him in training camp at least before getting rid of him but Babcock seems like he'd prefer to not trade Phaneuf.. obviously it's not 100% his call but I think they'll hold onto him until the trade deadline at least. I would love to see jvr in a wings jersey though!

Dan Cleary

Ah gotcha it was a little bit.. it was kind of just a general comment too though. a lot of people I know are too harsh on jurco too early. I know the large amount of forwards on the roster contributes to his role last year but we haven't seen even close to the best version of jurco that we will imo
-
Let's see him not be on a checking line in a game.
-
Parise gets my vote probably. Kane is up there for his offensive skill of course and Pacioretty too, he's one of the more underrated players in the league.
-
back up zamboni driver seems fitting
-
Dan Cleary is a player who I would like as a non-wing for sure
-
I love ovi haha he always looks like he's having a good time playing.. you can really tell he loves the sport. Other non wings I enjoy watching off the top of my head: the Seguin/Benn combo, kopitar, stamkos, Duchene, Wayne Simmonds, jvr (I'd be a lot happier if he were on any other team), Keith, and Kane (pending the outcome of this investigation).... I'm sure there are more too. Is it October yet?

It's situational.. Nyquist is better if you have a cold and Tatar is better if you are eating a nice fish dinner. ....I'll see myself out..
-
I've heard that as well.. gives us a good window to buy cheap cespedes shirts/jerseys

I feel like I remember Mrazek playing best when he got peppered with shots...? I could be remembering that wrong but he seemed to steal a couple games here and there. At any rate, I'm excited to see what blashills effect on every part of the team is. should be an exciting season
