Because it's his job. I don't think he was complaining as much as stating the facts. It's hard to replace all star talent without top draft picks. Not impossible, seeing as how d & z were drafted so late, but it's difficult.. the wings might have kids that can continue to grow their game to that level or they might not. It's hard to say at this point. Agreed. But, as far as roster control goes, there's a quote somewhere in here that says he has plenty of that here. -
Bert just continues to grow so fast in such a short amount of time.. it'll be interesting to see what he can do with a full season in the ahl. Hell, here's to hoping he shines enough that he gets called up for a couple games. I might be pushing it a little but at this rate, ya never know.

We've been saying this since lids left.... they'll at least try to make moves on the blue line; that's a guarantee. But, who knows what the free agents are thinking. I'd think at least one would want to come here.. we'll see.

did you really expect belarus to put up much of a fight against canada? Americans win 3-1.. canada up 6-0 after two. and Ovi is joining team Russia immediately. Huge boost for them obv. edit: ovi is only joining them starting in the semi final, if they make it past sweden so, go sweden haha should be a good couple of games coming up

The only difference I see is kronwall leaves his feet slightly earlier. He mentions Boyles head staring at the puck and Orpik tucking his elbow in. On kronwalls hit, his elbow was at his side and kucherovs head was down. Though not identical, they aren't nothing alike either. I don't think either should be suspendable but hey, I don't get paid to make the calls. I don't really expect Orpik to get suspended though. -

just saw that hit on boyle.... looked just like kronwall's. still think it's sketchy but not suspension worthy but since kronwall's was, it should be. I just want a little consistency, that's all. -

When you're putting up 7 goals a game, you can get by with a lackluster goalie. And their defense is better than any other roster I've seen in the tournament..? At least on paper anyway.... USA might be the closest one? Pretty much my thoughts exactly.. I don't think holtby is better.. but, he could be on just this night. Either team can win this game though, that's for sure. -
