My idea doesn't seem so far fetched anymore.. not sure how the cap situation would work out but I think we'd be under.. Trade Weiss, Smith, mid prospect, 2nd rounder for phaneuf with 2 mill salary retained, sign green, sign ward (assuming he makes it to UFA).. Tatar-Datsyuk-ward Nyq-Z-Abby Jurco-sheahan-helm Star wars line Kronner-green Dekeyser-Phaneuf Quincey-Ericsson Mraz/Howard I doubt that happens though. I'd be happy with just signing green but we'll see. I do think Howard stays with the team at least until the trade deadline, if not longer..

Joel ward would be awesome but he plays well on the wing with backstrom & ovi... I doubt they let him hit free agency. I'd love for us to get green more than any ufa. Maybe a year or two of stafford.. or Cole (assuming he's not done-zo)

Jurco, marchenko, mrazek I believe...? Although, I hope mraz goes to worlds.. assuming he'd start anyway. That'd be better experience for him than another ahl playoff run. I think they already announced that their coaching staff would be back next year.. babs being available could change things though, no doubt. If Babcock doesn't coach the wings next year though, I hope he goes to the western conference.

I'll only be worried about Babcock leaving if Hitchcock leaves the blues. And really not even that worried then.
