That appears to be the plan.. "@AnsarKhanMLive: If Datsyuk is cleared for tomorrow, Kindl will go on short-term IR, opening a roster spot. No other move needed."
-
son of a wing posted this link in the pav possibly returning thursday thread: http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/2014/02/red_wings_hopeful_pavel_datsyu.html Other than talking about pav, the article talks about weiss nearing a return and I figured it was worth posting. I for one look forward to his return to the game form that we signed him for.

"liked" for this. beautifully said. as for vladdy, it seems to me that the wings still very much care about him. it's such a shame that he couldn't play out his career.
-
I want to see... Nyq-pav-z Sauce-tinky-jurco Alfie-helm-eaves Miller-Andy-Abby Although I'd kind of like to see eaves on pavs wing. His shot has been great lately and I imagine pav setting him up in the top of the slot generating some goals Edit: spelling

Trade deadline fast approaching - who should we target?
amato replied to nyqvististhefuture's topic in General
In four years? 2018: detroit red wings sign ilya kovalchuk. also, i read somewhere that Z and his wife were planning on staying in the detroit area even after he retires. -
The trade deadline aquisition. "The kids stepping up is better than any player we could have gotten at the trade deadline." ^would anyone be surprised?
-
Peyton manning threw the super bowl game
-
If he could be playing, he would be. This is pav were talking about.. does anyone honestly believe he's happier watching his team play?
-
He deserves a spot for hair alone.. i hear he's been staying in shape though. with the right coach, he could thrive again.
-
Gunner Stahl easily makes the roster.. c'mon
-
nah, i vote Wolf Stansson. he doesn't take s*** from anybody. it's a shame they had to lose to the pesky ducks after how prepared they were....
-
i don't really see why the wings would hide injuries at this point ha. i agree with jimmy's point. it also probably has to do with how well the kids are playing.

Oilers trade Dubnyk to Preds; Receive Scrivens from LAK
amato replied to WingsallTheway's topic in General
haha still standing by this. but yes, amazing performance against a very good sharks team. hopefully for the oilers sake he can keep playing well -
last night i had a dream nightmare that huds was actually re-aquired by the wings.... this thread must be why. so Dabura, it's all your fault

I'm not sure if there are any rinks within MSE near Livonia, or how far you'd be willing to drive, but I play in a league oragnized by them out of Fraser and they cover a pretty decent amount of teams and skill levels over a few different ice rinks. Pretty affordable too. https://msehockey.com/index.cfm edit: other than that, I'd just say check out your local rink and i'm sure they have info on adult leagues. and as far as equipment go, if you can find a play it again sports, you can get all your equipment real cheap. all my friends who didn't play when they were younger but just got into hockey have bought used equipment there.

At practice today/likely the lines against the caps tomorrow: "@AnsarKhanMLive: Lines: Nyquist-Zetterberg-Abdelkader, Tatar-Sheahan-Jurco, Andersson-Helm-Alfredsson, Miller-Glendening-Eaves. Emmerton skating, too." Bert scratched again. Pav not ready yet.
-
Just came to say the same thing.. Weiss is skating also. But left the ice early. "@AnsarKhanMLive: Andersson skating on the wing on line with Helm and Alfredsson, so Zetterberg might be ready to play Friday."

Trade deadline fast approaching - who should we target?
amato replied to nyqvististhefuture's topic in General
To be fair, this is a fresh change of pace. I like our chances with everyone back healthy.. just need to figure out that pesky cap situation. -
I read somewhere that the jerseys are going to be the same with the addition of a shoulder patch that will be revealed their first exhibition game of next pre-season.
-
he's close to returning.... for team russia

Trade deadline fast approaching - who should we target?

don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but supposidly callahan is available out of new york.. http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2014/01/28/report-rangers-float-callahans-name-in-trade-talks/ -
vanek would be incredible! although it likely means one of nyq or tatar and a solid d prospect are going the other way and then some..
-
wonder if quincy + andersson gets it done..? sure it sounds like we're just getting rid of a bad d man but ya never know.. he did have a lot more success there than here. and andy is a solid bottom 6 center. maybe sweeten the deal a little with a low pick?
-
I agree with you 100% on Wayne. He's one of the more underrated players in the league
-
That was short lived (at least for the time being) "@TSNBobMcKenzie: Florida Everblades (ECHL) have released Brian Rafalski, who hadn't played since Jan. 18 because of sore back. Team needed roster spot."
