    Smith files for arbitration

As for all the smith hate (or disappointment), I'd like to use kindl as an example.. it took him a few years to adjust to the nhl and in some ways I'm sure he still is. Anyway, kindl won me over this year and I'm sure smith will too. It's not a make it or break it season for him just yet.

    Trade/Buyout thread

not necessarily, Paajarvi (only 22 y.o.) has a good amount of potential. He's a skilled forward and has shown flashes of good play at times.. could use some consistency but only time will tell if they got robbed or not. I'd like to see him with tarasenko or oshie

    Player predictions

Most seem about right. But if Abby plays on the top line all season, all he has to do is pass to pav or hank ha.. I could see him getting 20+ assists. Don't think that's too far fetched assuming he plays up on their line all year

Oh the pens? You mean that team with no D, very little depth and shaky playoff goaltending?

who's on their way out of Detroit

pretty sure the one mill per season cap hit is if he were bought out. if he's sent down its a 2 mill hit for just this season

    Any new Helm Updates?

they're probably just trying to get him as much conditioning/practice in before the season as possible. He could have even asked them to participate in the camp.

    Abdelkader Hypothetical

i don't see abby playing on the PP though.. at least not yet. pav, z, alfie, mule, bert, weiss, nyq, tatar are all guys i see on the PP before abby. hell, even sammy would be on there before abby, not that i'd want him to be at all..
  23. expectations for the season? a healthy one. please...? *knocks on wood*

    Abdelkader Hypothetical

i think he's capable of around these numbers and I'd love to see him reach them.. will it happen this year? ever? we'll see.. i think so, at least eventually. go sparty!
