I'm not too sure but since Matthias is an RFA and Weiss a UFA, if they both dont want to sign there it might not be too difficult. Perhaps something like filps rights, emmerton and a 4th or 5th conditional pick for both their rights?edit: maybe they'd send us a conditional pick back as well..?

I'd love to see Matthias come over with Weiss. 6'4, 220.. 25 y.o. and put up 14 goals in 48 games. doods a hard worker. Don't really see it happening tho with how many forwards we have.

and 3.0 would imply upgrade, no? Maybe not in this case but id like to think of Tatar as a better huds.. similar role, better player. We'll see when he's up full time.

the thing that bothers me most about this is that most blackhawks fans will take it as law. Wouldn't hate them nearly enough if it werent for the majority of their fan base..

hmm yea, good point. Might make him worth a little more in a trade.. tho it would be nice to see the two develop into a duo on the same line. If all goes well, tat/nyq on one line and Jurco/frk on another could end up being deadly. *fingers crossed*

I hope we keep both but have a feeling Tatar is on the move. I'd trade him over nyq because I like nyq's play more.. and based on Tatar getting sent to the griffins after he seemed to play well up on the wings, it makes me think the coaching staff would like to keep nyq over Tatar if they had to choose as well.

This past "season" was a ridiculous pace, I'll give you that.. but I see nothing wrong with the normal 82 game, 3ish a week pace.

Bert will find time. THIS. That's always bothered me.. too bad they won't get rid of it. the playoff race is always so tight near the #6-8 spot because of the point for loses. This gets the nhl more viewers/better tv ratings.. I don't see them getting rid of that. also I did hear somewhere that they are considering some sort of hybrid icing rule.

I'm all for keeping emdog after this past season; he's definitely getting better.. that being said, if it's 2 out of three between him helm and andersson.. em is definitely the odd man out. Also, this. Agreed 100%.. and I don't see Brunner coming down to wanting too much money after how much he loved it here. I'd expect a 2-3 year deal around 3 mill or so.. seems good for both sides.

pretty sure the rule is that the puck has to maintain forward momentum, not the player.. and that is possible while spinning.

tatar, jurco, sheahan, ferraro i kno were first or second round. pretty sure the griffs have more players undrafted than players drafted in the top 60 edit: McCollum was first round too.

I would absolutely love that! Matthias works hard and has a pretty good balance of skill and heart imo.
