I'm not sure any team has more momentum than Carolina right now. Dudes been crazy good, even by his standards. I wish he and Pasta were on a team I didn't hate

Go jerks!! Make Don proud!
-
same, except i fully expected cleary to follow after all the loyalty holland has shown him over the years.
-
All I've seen so far is some speculation like this tweet below but I'm sure we'll know for sure shortly after the Oilers officially announce it.

From one cap hell to a worse one? Kidding (mostly). But good luck to him. I've been somewhat of an Oilers fan for a little while and it's been frustrating to watch them unable to pull a consistently good team together with the top end talent they have. Hope he's the one to do it.

HELLLLL yeah, jerks. This is the one part of my bracket I actually got right. Canes might've just won me my pool
-
and it appears to be a pretty sizable one.. hopefully he gets out of this slump soon. http://nhl.nbcsports.com/2015/11/05/report-wings-and-abdelkader-closing-in-on-extension/

Oh there's more I'd be thrilled with for sure. Lots of good talent in the first round this year. I'm still hoping for Byram over any of them but Podkolzin may be second. I've liked a lot of what I've seen out of Zegras among others as well.

if Datsyuk comes back, he may be our best defenseman

wings fan base: CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
-
Idk about the double flag logo but I really like the look of their dark jerseys.
-
Would be thrilled to land Podkolzin. Wouldn't be mad about Cozens in that scenario either though.

Datsyuk is a free agent as far as the NHL is concerned. It looks like maybe there was a time limit on it or something? According to his agent anyway, via the link below, he'll be a free agent come July 1st. https://www.freep.com/story/sports/nhl/red-wings/2019/01/24/pavel-datsyuk-detroit-red-wings/2667827002/

Marchand knocking at the DoPS door again. This time with added cowardliness! Looks like no one was home. I guess I agree with Dreger here.. CBJ will just have to police him themselves I suppose.
-
Maybe he went to Russia to rebuild his legs with stem cells or some other procedure that couldn't be done here. I'd love to have him back personally. But only on a year to year basis at a couple mill max.. And if we do bring him back, I agree that neilsen has to go. I don't want bringing pav back to switch AA back to wing. I'd like him to keep developing as a center.

https://www.tsn.ca/brind-amour-good-news-on-mrazek-1.1298563 Sounds like Mrazek could be fine for game 3. This is about as vague of a report as they come though, even for playoff hockey.

BOS - lose this round please CBJ - win this round please CAR - brought down the Champs and now a decent shot at being the champ NYI - love them winning and Tavares losing DAL- I like Seguin/Benn/Radulov/Klingberg/Heiskanen STL - meh SJ - win a Cup for Thornton? They advanced on a horrible Vegas PK COL - NOPE!
-
Five minutes in and we have a ton of hits, some fights, and a short handed breakaway! Love me some playoff hockey! 1-0 Tampa so far
-
Would not be upset with drafting Podrick... Err Podkolzin
-
Could definitely see that happening. Not too sure what they'll be able to afford though. They have less than a mill in cap space and Couture gets a 2 mill raise next year. Pavelski needs a new deal too.. There is the possibility Thornton retires and they don't bring back nyquist though. They also have a fair amount of depth guys with expiring deals.
-
San Jose trying to leak this to drive his price down?? SMORT. Okay really though, I think his injury concerns will at least make a bunch of teams steer clear, possibly lowering his next contract some.. It's unfortunate. Hope the fixes work and he's healthy from here on out though.. He's one of the most exciting players in the league imo.
-
most convincing dive ever if that's true. he should win an Oscar
-
For sure. I'm 99% joking.. I'd consider myself a little bit of an oilers fan. It's just been frustrating hoping they pull it together, seeing them start to, then seeing it fall back apart.
