Seems like they're taking a lot of young d-men. Trade bait to build up their forward group maybe? Bertuzzi + ? for Vanecek and Dunn, getterr.... dunn. Stevie.

With all these leaks.... Anyone else starting to think Seattle just completely forgot about our roster?

Are they for sure not taking senko? Seems like a no brainer imo. Maybe they're too worried about his shoulder/playing it safe.

Might still take Vanecek too. Maybe they'd take him then trade him or Kahkonen. I can dream, right? probably smarter for us to sign instead of trade anyway, but worth checking in with Seattle on what the price would be for one of those guys.

Makes more sense then I guess, my b. Either way, Greiss and Bernier are pretty comparable imo. So, if he wants to test free agency, more power to him. Really wish we could find a young up and coming type of guy in net.. like Vanecek in Washington, but he's most likely Seattle bound.

My hope for keeping Stecher and Cholowski, and them selecting Namestnikov, is growing.

Is that why he played more games? Was Bernier hurt? Realistically though, they're both decent 1B material/would be great as a legit backup.. and there are plenty of goalies that can fill that role. So I don't really mind losing either of them.

I'd take him if they're incentivising us, absolutely. Pass on eichel for that price. Maybe for bert, and two firsts. But they probly get better elsewhere

Those two are exactly who I had in mind when I said I didn't think they'd take Cholowski. Although they could get Gourde from Tampa as well.. also not a bad pick. Though I'd go Foote if I were them.

It wouldn't be surprising with reports that he's unhappy with negotiations. But most likely he hits the market to see what his value is, then signs with Colorado how Stamkos did

Carey Price, Vlad Tarasenko, Gabriel Landeskog are probably the three most surprising. There are other solid options as well, that weren't as surprising.

Seattle roster could go so many different ways with all the available players After looking at the lists a bit, I think the most obvious picks (provided side deals aren't made) are Jake Bean and Cal Foote. Also, Landeskog, provided they could reach a deal with him. Those two being made available to Seattle, along with other younger NHL level d-men, makes me think they won't go for defense from our roster. So I guess my final guess is we lose Namestnikov

Fair. It's a toss up for me. I like em both, but wouldn't be upset at losing either of them.

Lindstrom being protected isn't really surprising... They protected the youngest of the remaining d men. Honestly expected it. Wouldn't have been surprised at either Stecher or Cholowski being protected instead though.. but Dekeyser makes no sense to protect over any if the other three. I would say Namestnikov feels like the pick if they're trying to contend immediately. He's a solid depth guy. If they're thinking more long term, Cholowski feels like the pick.

i had the martinez thought immediately. but it's probably his last chance at a long-ish term deal.. and someone will likely give him one since, free agency. also, he's four (or so?) years older than Leddy.. could've been a factor.

Yeah, it's honestly a toss up between the three for the last defensive protection, imo. Zadina is exempt? even better. I thought it was only 1 or 2 year pros who were though? or does zadina's first year not have enough games to qualify or something? agree it's erne if zadina is exempt though.
