Bolded part: Good point. Didn't think about it like that.. That package may be a decent starting point.. I think the Jets would want Mantha over AA; which is who I'd rather give up of the two anyway. But there's no way to know for sure unless a deal is reached. I'd much rather have that trade than mrazek straight up but didn't the jets just extend pavlec? I guess it would all depend on how high they are on Mantha/AA basically but it seems like not enough. Maybe throw in a good draft pick or a swap of draft picks that results in them moving up a round or two.

That would be the big question; Howard seems unlikely. I'd rather not make that trade but it seems pretty even.. That's all I was saying

Mraz for Trouba straight up would be a tough one to swallow (I really like watching mrazek) but probably pretty fair since their both young with high ceilings.. That's one of those deals that we wouldn't know the winner of for at least a few years, maybe more.

I'm for it.. The NHL should do that. They got rid of the two line pass rule, so they might as well make the neutral zone smaller. The rink is wider in the KHL too, right? International sized I think.... Obviously that'd be harder for the NHL to incorporate but both of those things could help increase scoring; which I'm all for.

Love Gordie and Stevie being incorporated into the farewell season at the Joe themed mask. All around maybe my favorite goalie mask yet. Love it!

Not to mention the KHL goal tending (at least the little bit i've seen) is far inferior.. not to take anything away from Datsyuk's success over there.

I'm not an expert on the arbitration process by any means but I think all that's taken into consideration is the players previous salary and their performance last year.. Could be wrong though. Agreed DD and Mraz going to arbitration shouldn't be as big of a fuss as some people are making it out to be (not just on here).

This, in addition to special teams, are what I'm hoping the assistant coaching changes help the most. The revamped coaching staff definitely seems like it could go a long way to improving the team from last year, imo.

If he broke his stick, I could probly see a penalty being called. There's no penalty for a stick lift with the D man not having a tight enough grip.. Stick lifts are allowed without the opposing player having the puck; happens all the time. It's the D mans fault that goal is getting so much attention. Pretty awesome dev camp highlight if ya ask me
