If this happens there is no way I won't be there in person.

For the record, I'm not against fighting at all. I just don't think it's going to impact the team in a way so many around here seem to think so. If we are getting a tough guy to protect our guys from getting run at, I'm all for it. If you think getting a fighter is going to win us games and make our guys play better, you are sorely wrong.

Also, shouldn't the study take shot attempts into account instead of shots on goal? Seems that would be more accurate at determining momentum instead of SOG. How many times do you see a team rip the pick at the net only to miss or hit the plumbing and not even be attributed a SOG?

He's lazy, he sucks, and he's worse than Franzen because he doesn't even float.
-
Abby took boxing lessons, two years ago was it? He even did some training with May on the ice. The problem is, even games we suck in (like last night), we have momentum at times and scoring chances (normally), we just don't capitalize on our chances. If Helm and Flip had those two goals in the first, it would have been a very different game. Fighting doesn't score goals, no matter how much you try to make it seem like it does.

It's funny, because I was going to post this exact same thing.
-
LMFAO. I was like, he did what? Oh....that.
-
I blame Teows for jumping on his back down ice before he scored the GWG.
-
Per Keating, it's Pav's groin. Hope it's not too bad, those groins can be mischievous.

I love Jimmy, but he's capable of having a bad game too. He's had two in a row now. Regardless of what you think, goalies need rest. You simply can't play one guy 82 games and expect him to have any gas left for a playoff run. What will you think if Conks puts up a solid performance? He played great against the Avs at the beginning of the season and put up another solid performance on Sunday, we have a really small sample size for him this year. He proved he can stop the puck on Sunday. He let in those two early ones, but once he got some playing time, he improved. Can't get better if you don't play.

Fortunately the Wings are not an AHL team. It's a good thing you're not making those decisions then.
-
It's working for me, I just don't know what they are saying. Raising his banner now. They just showed Jimmy saying something too, but it was in Swedish.
-
Must have been that bulls*** play by Teows jumping Dats before we took it in their end and scored. That's why he was slow to get up, even Emrick mentioned it when it happened. Now I'm just pissed off.
-
Why in the hell would they do that?
-
It would be funny if this shook up the Jackets, at least for one game so they can smash on Chicago tomorrow.

I was just watching the replays again to see Montador get rocked, but I couldn't help but listen to see Olczyk's response and first comment after the goal. Doc is going off about Datsyuk, Edzo sighs in angst, Pierrer praises the Wings for their work down low and says Pav puts it in, and then Edzo says "Off of Nick Leddy. We talked about it before..." and then goes on to ***** and moan. It is disgusting how that's all he has to say and goes straight to the excuses. I'm sure that whole time he was quiet after his sigh he was having them cue up the replay so he could let the excuses rain down. Screw this, we should all write NBC.
-
I thought it was hilarious when Edzo blamed Huds for that. I don't think he could have tapped him any softer.
-
That's funny, during the broadcast one of the commentators made mention that Pouliot never acted so tough before he played with the Bruins.
-
This only sucks because Sharp is one the big guns on my fantasy team. There is always a catch.
-
This was a good one too:

I don't remember Mac ever calling a game. He was on VS for intermission reports, but that was all. I wouldn't have a problem with Edzo doing that, it's his commentary during the game that is over the top. Pretty sure he scored the GWG in Dallas.
-
It did happen at least one more time this year. They said it's up the ref's discretion, if he thinks they are taking too long, then he can drop the puck. I bet they don't do that again.
-
I'm pretty sure that happens daily around here. On that note, maybe we should start an enforcer debate. Oh yeah...
