Oh, you mean like if they come out tomorrow and Saturday all pissed off with their performance and annihilate the competition? I don't think it will, but it sure would be nice.
-
It's no wonder why there is so much bad blood between USA and CAN in these tournaments with statements like this. You didn't even mention the Canada's win yet you are ecstatic about the US loss.
-
I was thinking the same. He looks solid so far.
-
You from Finland or something?
-
USA just lost this one with those last two goals... *sigh*
-
FYI, NHL.com will be streaming Finland/USA that starts in about 10 minutes.
-
LOL....how did you get negged for this post? It wasn't me either.
-
So the real question is....do I play Elliott tonight in fantasy? If I do, we'll stomp them. If I don't, he'll get a shutout. Play him I will.
-
No s***, last night's game was FAST FAST FAST!

I think that is key here, the sample size. We've had what, four fights this year? Even if we fought every game, it's hard to say that the fight was indicative of the win. Additionally, it would be much easier to win the four games they had FM in than to win all 82 there were FM in.

So Canada plays a tired USA on Saturday....need all the help they can get eh?

Jimmy Howard - "I’m just sick and tired of getting run over.

I was just rewatching this on my DVR and did anybody notice the shove Hansen gave Lids? Even before Jimmy got to him. At first I was thinking maybe that was why Jimmy went after him, but he was already headed his way. I don't think that helped calm Jimmy down at all though. I mean, it wasn't anything much, but I just don't understand why he would get up and shove a guy like Lids. -
Kronner didn't run anywhere. Ref had him from the beginning, he just simply chose not to drop them....and why should he have to? Too bad Mick wasn't commentating or he'd have been asking why people are taking exception to good hits. It happens all the time. I do agree it may make him look 'bad' because he wouldn't oblige Kesler, but as I said, he shouldn't have to, so it's really a moot point.

Injuries are a part of the game, but injuries from fighting are avoidable.
-
Then what happens if Kronner breaks his hand and is out for weeks? It's not worth it. I about had a heart attack when Datsyuk dropped em with Perry. It was awesomely terrifying.

This was definitely annoying. You gotta give it to Howard though, I love that he doesn't hesitate to get up and go after somebody, anybody. I never thought Z pushed him, more of less made a bit of contact, but Hansen put himself on a path to the net and gave himself no way out. There is a difference between going to the net strong to score a goal and going to the net on a kamikaze mission. It's Hansen's responsibility to have somewhere to go. See Tootoo, Jordin. The only thing more annoying about it was they let that goal stand. That would have NEVER happened to the Wings. At least Lou was taken out by his own man on our first goal. -
I'll be at both games when the Wings visit Dallas. I want to take some signs for FSD since the game will be on there, but the game is also going to be on Versus, which will actually become NBC Sports on Jan 2. I was hoping I could get some ideas for both networks so I had the chance to get on TV repping the Wings. I figured if I did an NBC Sports sign I could get on there since it will be a new network and I am assuming they would be talking about it to some degree. I'm thinking about those signs where people substitute the network acronym for something else team related. I don't have any great ideas, so that's where you come in. All I have so far is: FSD: Forget Stopping Datsyuk (appropriate if he scores) No ideas for NBC Sports yet, but I thought it would be funny if I made a sign that says "Stop talking about Chicago Olczyk". I'm sure they wouldn't put it on TV but it'd still be funny.

Apparently the French Canadians.

I wouldn't call it a collapse. It wasn't good, but it's not like Nashville dominated us. They won on a lucky bounce, literally.

We live in a country where throwing cake at someone is an arrestable offense under the term 'battery'. What do you expect? I'm not condoning anything, just saying...
-
I love the detailed accounts of what happened.
-
Good thought, bad execution.
-
Great...so Dats and Conner. I couldn't imagine it being anyone but Dats after last game. Is it okay to start drinking now?

After going to that, I ended up on this: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/933328-the-worst-sucker-punches-in-sports/page/16 Of course, The Tuzz get's #1.
