I suppose so. I forget they like to trade them away.

I'm curious when this happened to Z, they didn't mention. Was it against Colorado he took that big hit at the blue line? Does groin constitute middle body? I thought they always considered groin a lower body injury.

Questionably... http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/2011/11/red_wings_henrik_zetterberg_qu_1.html

Yeeaaaa.....ooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh
-
All good. That one was even worse, didn't even skate around.
-
Well...the previous suggestion was to stop watching and supporting. So while you speak for yourself, you do not speak for everyone.
-
Ok, then stop watching and supporting. I'll continue to watch and support the team I love, even if they do suck, or play like s***. There is a difference between analysing and whining like little children. I tend to see more of the latter around here.
-
I won't say you have, but there are plenty of people around here that have definitely given up. I'm pissed too, but it doesn't do any good to sit here and ***** about it. We're not GMs. We're not coaches. We're not players. We are fans. The only thing we have the ability to do as fans is watch and support.
-
True that. It takes forever to do that, I gave up a long time ago trying to manage my own lines.
-
F*** you fans. If the fans gave up on the team already, what do you expect the team to do?
-
You don't have to pause to change lines, you can roll them with the touch of a button. But that was still funny...

He wasn't suspended, was he? They have not always issued a statement if there was no suspension issued, if they have at all. They just have the clean hits videos, sometimes.

Reckless* WTF is up with Kaleta. Apparently he's done it no less than 3 times. That's just stupid IMO. http://video.nhl.com/videocenter/console?catid=60&id=132436

He bowled over somebody on Tuesday early in the first. Ever since the Shanabans I get nervous with our big(ger) hits, so I remember it clearly.
-
Exactly. This year's FA crop wasn't exactly the cream.
-
No, he will be an RFA. This point was made in the offseason and wouldn't be a UFA next year either. I don't remember exactly why, but I think it has to do with his age and birthday being in August. I think if anything, we would end up with Suter. First reason being after locking up Rinne for megamillions, they can't keep both. Second, I don't see them letting Weber walk, although, if he wants to, they don't really have any choice in the matter. Third,I don't see us extending an offer to Weber through RFA because it costs too much in return. EDIT: Found this on HFBoards: This is Weber's 6th accrued season in the NHL and will only be 26 next July, so he does not qualify to be an UFA. In 05-06 he only had 28 games, thus it does not qualify as an accrued season. http://hfboards.com/...ad.php?t=963237

You didn't know that's how it works around here? Gotta blame somebody, there is no way we could be performing poorly as a TEAM, is there? I'd be lying if I didn't say I was concerned with our lackluster play, but this is the Detroit Mother ******* Red Wings. They gotta get it going, but they know that, we know that, Babs knows that, Holland knows that. It's not worth taking years off your life b/c they lose a few games. It's not a 16 game season, so everyone chill the f*** out.
-
Why didn't the officials stop it when one guy went to his knees? That's just stupidity.
-
Agreed. However, if the rule can't be interpreted literally, how can it be interpreted at all?
-
While I don't think the hit to the head is suspendable and shouldn't be, the rules don't specifically say the player has to be looking at their target or have any intent to make contact with the head at all. To be suspension worthy, it simply has to be a reckless play where the principal point of contact is the head. The onus is on the hitter, looking or not. Which in that case, could be considered more reckless since Koivu has no idea where the point of contact is going to be. Not to mention he went high on the hit by leaving his feet. He knew that much, that's for sure.

Creative. I thought Perry WAS Hitler?
-
I don't think Smith can play yet, I believe he still has two games to serve.
-
Don't forget Krejci was injured to start the season and no telling whether he is 100% at this point. They played a lot of hockey last year, lots of game sevens, I'm sure they're all fairly banged up still, to some extent. I have not seen them play this year yet, so I'm purely speculating.
-
Agreed. No elbow. A reckless play in my opinion b/c Koivu left his feet and knew exactly what he was doing, but who gives a s*** what I think.
