For Center Ice, the FSD feed is on 773 tonight, 773-1 for HD. From what I have been told, if you have Center Ice (everyone does right now) FSD will be unlocked, so use 663. However, when in doubt, you can always check this schedule: http://www.directv.c...assetId=1800012

Been free for me on Time Warner the previous few years and the same applies to the Directv I have now.

Thought this was a little quirky...NHL.com posted the starting rosters for all 30 clubs today. The Wings roster has an Andrew Miller listed, which is obviously Drew Miller, but I never knew his name was actually Andrew. Despite that, I didn't know he was drafted in 1991 (he wasn't)....but the player the post links to was and originally by the Wings as well. http://www.nhl.com/i...s.htm?id=594687 http://www.nhl.com/i....htm?id=8458791

This year I've noticed a big difference in the stick handling skills of lower rated players, like Helm and Abby. If I get breakouts or scoring chances with room they typically lose the puck in more advanced dekes. Whereas players like Pasha and Z don't have that problem. You would have thought EA would have had more weight on those attributes than stats, but this is the first year I've seen a noticeable difference. I've always wondered if there was a bit of bias in the stats as well. There has to be some subjectivity if a human is involved with rating them. EA Canada develops the game. Not saying they really do try to favor players in the game, but I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't just a little influence in some direction.

3 games for Smith in the AHL. http://www.mlive.com/griffins/index.ssf/2011/10/griffins_brendan_smith_suspend.html

That is pretty obvious, but that doesn't mean everyone named Drew is short for Andrew.

For what it's worth, I know Cleary actually goes by Danny. The whole 'Dan' thing came about somehow and I've read it bothers him. So don't call him Dan if you meet him. LOL Either way, the Miller they link to is not the correct profile. Apparently.

I thought the same thing until I looked it up. According to his Wiki page his name is Andrew. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drew_Miller

4 Players Will be Waived on Monday, 8 Assigned to GR
rrasco replied to P. Marlowe's topic in General
Any player placed on the 'waiver wire' is susceptible of being claimed by any other team. After 24 hours on waivers, the player remains under contract by their original team and is assigned to whatever league they were destined. Waivers typically occur when players are being called up or sent down to/from the minors. Or when a team wants to get rid of a player. BTW, all players cleared waivers. http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/2011/10/five_players_clear_waivers_ass.html -
#12 - Anything less is unacceptable.

I don't believe he was hit hard enough to be thrown off his skates; the dude jumped. If anything, centrifugal force helped him elude any type of significant impact being delivered to the head.

Definitely a weak call. The only thing Leblanc did was get the elbow up, but I'm not sure it even made contact, and if it did, sure doesn't look like it did anything. If it did hit his head, you would see his neck move more, he threw his whole body the opposite direction. Complete flop. Not to mention Semin changed his positioning immediately before and simultaneously as the hit was delivered, placing the onus on him and not the hitter. Having said that, diving isn't a bigger issue than head shots. That's just asinine.

I was going to suggest a feature on the site that will do this, or another site. Would take all the leg work out of it.

I did read a quote yesterday he said he'd be lying if he said they were not evaluating the role of fighting in hockey.
-
I'm selfishly against this because it would ruin my 2 trips to Dallas every season. It would be nice to get rid of those West coast start times though. That double, or was it triple, OT in Anaheim in 09 was brutal.

It's an 18 month window. If he keeps his nose clean for 18 months then he won't be considered a repeat offender anymore. Not really sure how the logistics work being that he is an AHLer, though. http://www.nhlfa.com...agreement39.asp

I've always wondered the same. I even mentioned it the other day when they advertised it. I said, "How do I get a magnet?" If I could be added to the list of receiving a magnet, that would be utmost appreciated. I'll even pay postage and/or for the magnet. I just want one.

9/28 Exhibition GDT: Red Wings at Chicago Blackhawks
rrasco replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Disappointment is the only way to describe what happened tonight, in regards to the hit, of course. Intentional or not, the principal point of contact was the head and they are getting rid of that reckless type of play. The resulting play was also an injury which will be taken into consideration. There is no question he is getting suspended. He may get a bit of leniency because he is not a repeat offender, but he will be considered one from here on out. I'm just curious to see how the suspension plays out since he wasn't slated to make the team anyways. This seals that deal for the time being. -
Was I the only one who thought the push Mursak got was a little dangerous? You always hear about that type of dangerous play, even though they were at the goal line, that is what threw him off his balance and eventually into the boards.

The Stars do this crap too. When I tried to use a 50% coupon for their season opener last year they told me it's not eligible for premium games, which the opener and 'Wings' game supposedly were. Must not have been all Wings games cuz I used the same coupon the year before for a Wings game. I think they were just mad they knew I was a Wings fan. It was the opener though....but whatever. I still paid up.

Quit being a *****. What are you going to propose next, getting rid of flopping in the NBA?

I was wondering why there was no coverage either, I got excited when I noticed the Rangers game on MSG. Pretty sad its our tournament and there is no coverage though. Wings won't play Rangers unless they meet in placement games. http://www.centreice.org/Prospect%20Tourney%20Schedule%202011.pdf

I read it and thought something probably pretty similar to what you did, but you didn't have to say anything out of respect. I didn't. This is about them, not you.

I was actually having a good day too, driving in to work, I was thinking about everything I was going to get done today. Six hours into the day and I haven't done a damn thing. I saw the article on my RSS feed and immediately recognized the team name from the McCrimmon and Salei signings and a horrible feeling sank in. I'm in shock and can't even imagine what the families/friends are going through at this very moment.
-
Belarus Hockey Federation stated Salei was with team in Yaroslavl and they have been in contact with relatives and have no good news to report. I'll try to find a source, I don't remember where I saw it.
