Sorry. I'm done. At 8.7% for the PP, that appears correct.

in your defense, nobody likes you. go away.

Thanks. Jokes aren't funny if you have to explain them though. Can't win em all I guess.

This isn't the only site I've seen this db on. He's always running his mouth about s*** he doesn't have a Patrick Kane (two cents) about.

I usually see them call a dive in order to cancel out the penalty they shouldn't have just called. Example. Cross check called against Chicago. Ref realizes it wasn't actually a cross check. Calls diving on Vancouver to make up for his mistake.

Sarcasm? Philly has had the most inconsistent goaltending in the playoffs so far. Almost a guarantee the starter doesn't finish the game at this point. I still think they're gonna win, but their net has been the weakest link.
-
I've also heard them mention it on an away feed when Helm was causing havok. I thought it was pretty cool for Herm to get that kind of plug, on the away feed to boot.

There is a good movie I have a torrent of: Detroit Red Wings History. It's a 2 disc part with double sided discs. I have the torrent on Demonoid. There were no more seeds so I added it back to utorrent. If anyone wants it, it's ready to go. PM me for links if you can't find it. I believe there are a few other copies out there, but I can only vouch for the one on Demonoid as I uploaded it. I believe it is this... http://www.buy.com/prod/nhl-original-six-series-detroit-red-wings/q/loc/322/40252146.html

I don't think I can do it again. I shaved Wednesday morning, so technically I can still partake. I did it in 09 and it was almost unbearable. Not nearly as bad as that last game was though... Here was mine at game 5 of the SCF in 09 (first Wings game). Unfortunately, last game we won that year.

Killer. Keep em coming in 1920x1080.

Just b/c it's blindside doesn't make is suspendable. Blindside hits where the principle point of contact is the head are suspendable. This hit falls under that category so there isn't much argument. I just don't agree with how aggressive they started nailing people for stuff that was unintentional. I don't care for Torres, or the Canucks, so I could really care less, but it's the integrity of the game that is at stake. It's like Bert's hit. Luckily he didn't get suspended, but I don't see how the NHL got that right. In that instance, Tuzzi could have laid him out but slowed down and turned to lessen the impact. It was Johnson who made a weird move to avoid the check and put himself in a bad position to take a hit and ended putting his head in the open. On a lesser note, even the Abdelkader hit a few games back was a BS call.

Definitely a hit to the head, but I didn't think it was dirty by any means. I hate all these head hits that are happening when guys are stretching out to get a puck or leaning over in some fashion and contact to the head is unfortunately made. Keep yer head up boy.

I don't have a problem with the delay of game penalty. It's a strategical matter, make the defense make a play instead of taking the easy way out. Example: Wings get pinned in their zone and are tired, trying everything to clear the puck and get a change. Oh well, just dump it over the glass, get a change, take the face off, and be on our way. Nothing to lose right? It makes things more interesting strategically. Same reason there is off sides and icing. To keep the game interesting and teams from using boring tactics. Imagine if a player could just stand by the goal all game and wait for his team to get possession of the puck, breakout pass every time. Or you'd end up with a forward and a defenseman standing in front of the net all game long. Now, do I like it when they get them wrong? Of course not, but I don't like that they keep calling back goals either, what is that, four this month? Bad calls are just another part of the game.

Don't get your hopes up. Bettman shot this down very quickly when it was asked earlier this season during an interview with I think Keating or Thompson. Bettman showed no interest in it, at all. I could care less what happens to PHX, but if they do move, I hope their affiliates stay put. My AHL team is the farm team and that would suck to not have any hockey here anymore. On that note, for being in Texas and a 'non-hockey-market' I sure do hear a lot of people talking about hockey around here. More and more recently too, they started pushing the AHL games a lot this year.

Me too. I turned it on and walked in the other room and was like, huh? Ken, is that you?

I think the Center Ice stuff is regional and also depends on your cable provider. My games are on channels 629-642, not in the 700s at all. There were a lot of games that night, and they had to cut somebody's feed out, it's usually Detroit. At least down here. Wow. I must really be going blind then. I'm not being sarcastic either, my vision is getting worse and I could've sworn on more than one occasion I saw a P for his name. I had never heard of, or noticed, him before so I'll take your word for it. Just thought he was being extra douchey last night.

I didn't even realize Datsyuk was out. Damn center ice only had the FS Ohio feed and they didn't mention anything about it, of course. On a side note....what's up with that tool Pethot? Cleary's roughing was weak, while he hit that guy in the face, they were having a pushing battle and the other guy just moved his arms and took one in the face instead. Then shortly after that Pethot straight up punched, who was it, Abby I think, in the face. He continued to be DB material throughout the game.

I want them to get a matchup against Dallas so I can attend a game or two, but Dallas seemed to have our number this year. Winning 3 of 4 against us, two of which were 4-1 games. We did take one 7-4, but everything was going in that night. I wasn't worried about Chicago until they started streaking, but I don't think we should have a problem with them. In all reality, it seems every team brings more to the table when they have to take the ice against the big red machine. Just one of those things, playing the best makes people play their best. I've always dreaded the Nashville matchup. We'll see how we fair against them this weekend.

Thanks. To clarify, I normally have the option of both feeds (home and away) for every game of every team, but only in standard definition. Center Ice for me is on specials channels, specifically 629-642. 641 is HD1 and 642 is HD2. Normally, only one game will be shown on 641, no idea why there are two if they are not going to use them, but that's how it is. On rare occasions, they will show a double header on 641, an east coast game and a west coast game. On nights with a lot of games on the schedule, some games only get one feed due to the number of channels available being limited, in this case, it's highly likely the wings game gets the cut on one of the feeds. We'll just say that's coincidence. I've wanted to go to Direct for a while now, even if just to get FSD not during games. Isn't there other wings coverage, like Wing Span or something of the sort? I see the previews for that stuff while I'm watching the FSD feed in SD all while Ken Daniels reminds me that this game is presented in crystal clear high definition. I've also been hesitant because I read lots of horror stories about satellites losing signal, etc. Any testament to this?

Question for you Center Ice guys on DirecTv, how many HD feeds are there? I have Time Warner and I only have 2 HD feeds, one of which is used maybe 2% of the time, the other might have one game a night There end up being 1 maybe 2 Wings games in HD a year. It sucks that I pay $200/yr for standard definition hockey. The only time I really get HD is on VS, NBC, or NHLN. I've heard from others that all the games are HD, but I find that hard to believe. I also think its regional so that matters. DirecTv reps can't give me a straight answer, I've tried on no less than 5 occasions. Unless Gamecenter Live has drastically improved, I would avoid it. It's the same cost as Center Ice and their s*** sucks. You lose video, laggy, quality sucks, and no DVR. I had Gamecenter Live one year and won't do it again. It's only convenient if you're on the road, at which case I use drums feed.

Haha. Love the hit, but I can see why they called a charge. It happens, get over it. I'd only be bothered if he was ejected and/or was banned.

Crosby's family trying to convice him to retire?
rrasco replied to Rick Zombos Ghost's topic in General
That's sad, but I do have a hatred for Crosby like no other. I am conflicted. I can't even come to terms with acknowledging Crybaby has talent (sort of how I like to think the 09 playoffs were locked out), but this would be unfortunate. I'm sure he will be back, but you never know, nobody expected him to be sitting this long as is and with all the concussion talk going on... -
Questionable hits ya, but how many of those were more than a duece? I only saw 2, maybe 3 where they were given a 5+game. Bad calls happen every game, we're talking about ejections...weren't we?

Not really dedicated to an individual, but I always liked that wallpaper that had the quote: "On the ice legends are born. On the cup is where they remain."
