Hopefully since we ended in Nashville (as opposed to West Coast) and that game was 4 days ago the jet lag isn't so bad. Games after the west coast road trip are usually stinkers, so here's to hoping we shook the rust in NSH. Good to be back in the D too. JLA should be rocking tonight.

You gotta realize when there is 1 game in Dallas a year, basically every Wings fan in Texas has that one shot to see the Wings without a ton of travel. I live in Texas and still drive 700 miles round trip for the game. I'm not a transplant, born and raised Texan, but I do have roots in Michigan. I'd imagine something similar happens in Cali, although there are a few games to choose from.

That was 2 games in a row we got scored on 3 times in about 3 minutes.

Man...got back from Dallas last night. What an epic game to be at. It sure was fun taunting Stars fans after that double comeback.

Meh, it's not like he was pounding on the glass and I'm pretty sure he was upset the girl on the ice was kicking at the other player. That's kind of a big deal no? It's not like he ran out onto the ice and clotheslined the other girl. I don't see him "yelling" or "screaming". And breaking the glass was a fluke. He slowly walks to the glass, hits it with an open hand and it shattered. If that's all it takes to break the glass then I don't know how I have not shattered hundreds at the games I've been to. You should see the picture. I'd post it but it always gets deleted for some reason.

I think people are overreacting (not just here, in the hockey world). The guy barely hits the glass and it shatters. And he does react, just not in complete shock. It's not like he pulled out a battering ram. He reminds me of the boss from floor 3 or 4 on Kung Fu where he just kicks or punches and you die.

Unless there is an injury I don't see him doing anything more than serving as a black ace. They might give him one game at some point if we are not in too tight of a race, just to see what he looks like on NHL ice, but barring those conditions I don't really expect it.

I didn't use CapGeek too much, but I have and I know a lot of people relied on its data. I hate seeing such a niche and favorable tool go away. I'm not going to spend time on it if there are already others that fill that void though. I was hoping we could build one that used crowd-sourcing for the data. They said Matt spent a lot of time updating it so I don't know if that was for IT/architecture reasons or simply data entry. If the hockey community pulled together we could probably get the data filled out pretty quick.

I tried to look this up a few weeks ago, but I couldn't find it so this is more of my thought that I can't back up. It's my understanding that Jimmy has faced a lot of penalty shots in his career, much more than average. Like I said, I couldn't find the stats for it but I thought he was pretty good against PS, just not SO. If so, what gives? So what's Jimmy's bad pass save % sitting at now?

Yeah but they were on the ice and probably didn't even see it happen, just that Ballard was hurt. Players don't usually see the hit and react to their guy being injured. Brodziak did go after him later so maybe he saw something or he just wanted vengeance either way.

Aside from obvious reasons, I am against this because I don't want an expansion draft. If there is an expansion draft, we will lost prospects to this adventure.
