I don't think they have to be honest. There is a lot of misdirection when it comes to injuries. You don't want your opponent to know your weakness. People will do anything to win. For instance, I believe NBC said Gustavsson just returned from a neck injury, while I heard it was his groin again.

I'm still trying to figure out why NBC is claiming the Wings are 0-3-1 in their last 4...

So what DOES a drunk goalie playing in a Czech REC league look like?

Wasn't Klein that kid we made look like an all star when he tore us up a few years ago in the PO?
-
Wait, are you saying Buffalo isn't a rival?

I saw that....what gives? Was it b/c the Blues were on the 2nd night of a back-to-back including travel. Or do we just suck that bad? The problem is, we are no longer just competing with our division. There is a pack of hungry wolves running along side us and we have to fend off all of them, not just catch Toronto.

At this point, I honestly don't even know what to expect anymore. I mean, I do, but I'd rather not think about that and just imagine we'll win this one somehow. I'm still gonna watch though. Let's go Wings!

I got to watch Boedker come through the AHL since our team was still affiliated with the Yotes at that time. Puck was always under his nose and he always seemed to be involved in the play. Me likey.

I don't like Benn. I admittedly don't know enough about JVR to make that call, but I think Gus is going to be a huge player for us in the future so I'd prefer to keep him on board.

Which would be S-T-U-P-I-D.

Yeah, Datsyuk was supposed to be day-to-day as well :/ What a depressing game to watch. They lure you in with chapter one, chapter two goes something like "blah blah blah" and then when you turn to chapter three the pages are all blank. It's my fault because I keep buying the books.
-
No. Shush it.

At least that kid Tarasenko isn't playing, he was a beast last time (?) we played them. I have a feeling I'm going to hulk rage over Backes tonight. That's a pretty plausible prediction as it happens every Blues game. Hopefully we smoke them so cprice doesn't show his ugly mug.

This is hilarious. Esepecially after Tom Sestito's comments about Olbermann. I agree. ESPN =/= hockey knowledge. Liberals.....LMAO. And FWIW, for those that have not read the link, this has nothing to do with the Flames games, it was in reference to the Nucks/Kings game on Monday.

They could make it so intentional play off the net was not allowed. Deflections and oddities allowed, but you can't "shoot it into the net". Although, I really wouldn't like guys having to try to find a puck that is going to bounce off the net somewhere and land only god knows where. You would see too many fluky goals that don't really equate to hockey plays.
-
That goal was hilarious and I don't even care they got it wrong. I had to watch the replay on FSD and they cut out like half the game, so I'll have to watch an archive later to see everything that happened, but lolz @ Howard...I love it.

I prefer the reaction of all the Flyer's fans behind the net. They were already celebra....what just happened? Nice effort. I like when players don't give up.

So now that the real outdoor game is over...the NHL turns its attention to the "Stadium Series". I'm honestly trying to figure out how they are going to keep ice conditions up to par. Nothing but high 70s for the next 2 weeks in LA and I'd imagine it will be there on the 25th...I know there have been other games that were in warmer weather, just curious how it will end up when they have had problems at some of the Winter Classics where it was 40. I think a few times. Especially at the end. If we lost the last game in Dallas we were basically out (although that hinged on two other game's outcome).

How about just leaving volleyball out of the equation? It's a hockey game. It's not like they had a sledding hill at the WC for the hell of it. There has always been a mini-rink at WC games, so the roller rink isn't THAT bad of an idea, but you have a real ice hockey rink...might as well make a small one too. IIRC, WC tickets ranged from $89-279 (not including the GLI tickets they made you buy). I guess the pricing issue is why I've seen $50 discounts for them all over anything related to the NHL.
-
Wait...the roller rink and volleyball wasn't a joke?

I didn't really get to go to many places during the winter festival, but we did go into Hockeytown Cafe a few times before the games to warm up and grab a cheaper beer. It was a little easier the games being at Comerica though. It was definitely an atmosphere that I'm glad I didn't miss. As an outsider coming into Detroit, it was a pretty chill place that I enjoyed being at.

I think most of us can agree on that.

My favorite one was in Pula Arena. I thought that was THE coliseum but it turns out it was just a different Roman amphitheatre. Still cool as heck though.

Rumors...
