I thought we had a pretty good game. Lots of shots, lots of chances, pretty good gap control, but we just can't finish. I don't know why. Babs was just on the Jay Mohr show (called in from the plane) and Mohr asked what movie the plane was showing, Babs said he was pulling out his laptop to watch film and Mohr suggested they play the Mighty Ducks. Then he asked who his favorite wrestler was. -

Which is my point. Why are the officials that are away from the play making the call and not the one right next to it?

I just want to know why the ref standing right next to the hit didn't raise his arm. He was staring directly at it from 2 feet away and didn't make a call. None of this 'he waited to talk to the other officials' stuff, because if there is a penalty, they put their arm up at the time of the infraction and they can discuss it afterwards to determine severity. They called it charging and threw him out because Lydman didn't get up.

A win is a win and they needed that one. This ones over, get ready for Sat and take the series lead. They say you're never in trouble until you lose one at home. Well, the Ducks just lost one at home. -
No more contact than Kronwall makes on most of his hits, which are clean. It's unfortunate the result, but I don't think he should even have received a penalty for that according to the current rules. That was not principle point of contact and it wasn't targeting, which is why they tossed him for interference (which it wasn't either) based on the severity of the hit and the resulting injury.
