Didn't he have a shoulder injury in one of his first games too? -
NHL submits offer to NHLPA - **Suspension Warning Post #70 & #273*
rrasco replied to Jedi's topic in General
I was at an AHL game last night and everyone was asking me if I thought there would be a season and if any progress was made. I told them the season will start on Jan 19th. They were like, oh, that's official? So I told them, no, but that's what I'm saying. Funny thing was I even mentioned how Center Ice would probably be free to bring back some fans. The writing has been on the wall for the last week. I would even go as much to say, I guarantee it. We knew it was going to come down to the wire, and we're here. Everyone is ready to play, it'll get done. -

Yes, something like that. Proposal was 300 pages, they said. -

They are on a conference call now and supposed to meet tomorrow, as reported in post #62. Details not disclosed yet, if they are to be. -

I was having problem with styles on the general discussion page last two days. The WYSIWYG editor is also showing quotes weird too, it's not showing them actually, but to make them work for now paste the text first, highlight it, then hit quote. Then don't touch that area again. Workarounds. LOL. -

So....a few updates: -
1. Call it and not the 'false offense'. 2. Can they post GIFs in the locker rooms instead?
-
They said deal has to be done by Jan 11 and season must start by Jan 19. That's not enough for a 10 day training camp, not by my math anyways, but none of this made sense to begin with anyways. Let's play.

I think that will depend on their status. They have to go through waivers to get to GR too. So unless they are waiver exempt, I don't think it would matter. -

I'm not sure they have to buy out anybody. Maybe a trade or something. As noted above, Emmy and Eaves make the most sense to move or buy out because of Eaves' injury and I don't think Emmy will ever crack this roster. -

Yeah, I just went to capgeek and determined the changes you made. Updated my post, but you beat me to it. Sucks Eaves is having such a hard time recovering. The guy played his heart out for us. This just in: -

What changes did you make? Em and Patty? Well, maybe for the Wings, assuming we buy out a 1.5M player. Some teams are 7, 8, 9M over the $60M cap, so unless they are willing to buyout a high dollar player, it will create some interesting scenarios. -

If the cap were to end up at 60M for 12-13, that would put 16 teams in the need of some overhauls, including the Wings by about 1.5M. http://www.capgeek.com/payrolls/?salary_cap=%2460%2C000%2C000 -

I guess that will depend on the league's reaction to it. Hopefully they don't throw a fit that the PA has the nerve to negotiate off their offer. -

Why do they want to change free agency? No more birthday signings for me... -
Thanks for the information Azelov.

If true....sign the damn thing. -
If they did, I missed it. I just heard them make mention of it.

He was on the top line with Thornton and Kane, but got dropped to the second line by the 2nd (or 3rd?) period. I didn't get to watch the game as much as I would have liked since I'm at work so I mostly listened and took a peek when I had a chance.

Great. Now I feel all crazy talking to myself about a tournament I know nothing about. I still would like to know why Brunner was playing for Davos. That confuses the hell out of me. I'm also curious how Thornton and Nash feel about playing for Davos and not Canada in this tourney. Can a mod change the title to Spengler Cup, so at least it's on topic? Thanks.
-
Nice dive by Tavares. Brunner gave him a extra little shove into the boards for it. Atta boy.
-
Why is Brunner playing for HC Davos? Do they switch teams there for tournaments? Color me confused. All these Euro tournaments confuse me to begin with.

I guess it's the Spengler Cup. http://www.hockeycanada.ca/index.php/ci_id/197932/la_id/1.htm
