My initial thought was they would make the announcement together. But then we would all know. I also wouldn't put it past either of the headmasters to jump the gun and get on the podium to be 'the one' to break the good news.

Yep. It's hard not to get the emotions rolling though. I'm glad someone is around to provide comic relief.

Tweets are coming in quicker than I can read them, to summarize.... -Owners are pissed at Fehr and his 'tactics'. They believe he is stalling. -Players are pissed Bettman and owners were not present when they tabled an offer based off of yesterday's NHL offer. -Fehr says it appears they have an agreement on money, make whole and pension. -Offer includes max contracts at 8 years with lowest year required to be at least 25% of highest year. CBA length proposed at 8 years with opt out options at year 6. -Transition rules have yet to be discussed. -Daly and Batterman left to present offer to owners and Bettman.

It's worth noting, that while the owners came up to $300M for make whole, $50M of that is in pension, which comes from the players share. So the league really only came up to $250M.

They say the gloves really come off in the end, so let's hope that is what is going on. Off to Twitterverse I go...

Yep. IE shows the cert error too. Bypass it and get a bad http request. It's weird.

It won't happen. Half the people got their refunds. People cancelled travel/lodging plans. They won't try to rush it. Nobody would show up.

I managed to read @NHLPodium's feed before I got kicked. I was searching for something then I got a cert error. It's fairly common with this CA but no real answer to fixing it. FF should let me in after I create an exemption for the cert error, but nope. I can still get to it on my phone. I just hate doing stuff on mobile devices.

I agree. I only get on it to check for breaking news in times like these. And the god damnf****** site won't work when I need it to. Of course.

On that note, If****** hate Twitter and it's stupid SSL errors. I don't know what I just did, god forbid I perform a search on the site, and now I can't access it at all due to SSL errors. Can't even add an exception. For the last 6 months I couldn't use Twitter because of this. Recently it started working, and of course now, nothing. If I can't get this site to work and I work in IT. They done f***ed up.
