I'm small too, like 5-5 150 small and I was still cramped. Bathrooms wouldn't be a problem if I didn't have 5 beers during a game. Just sneak in the exit, no one will care. I promise.

Just sounds like they are doing another college game out there. Kind of like the Big Chill.

I need hockey to start. Seriously. Life sucks enough to begin with, take away hockey, and just f*cking shoot me.
-
Did you just get NHL Network? It's been around for a while, I've had it for at least 3-4 years. I don't think you can accurately gauge the channel quality based off of programming right now. Since the lockout is going on, there are no games or things to talk about. They would usually be playing/replaying games or showing NHL Live. My TV literally just stayed on FSD or NHL Network after the games last few years.

I normally watch it all the time. I don't think I've turned it on this year except to watch the Super Series. I bet their ratings are WAY down.

That's terrible. I hope the medical field has advanced for this terrible disease. I've personally known a few people with this, sisters in fact, sadly enough neither are with us today.

Ah, gotcha. Thanks for clearing that up, I had not realized one was a refund. That is unfortunate. I also didn't realize the US dollar was worth more than the CAD right now.
-
I guess I don't understand conversion rates very well, because that confuses me. I understand there should be two values, that of the US dollar and that of the CAD dollar. However, why are there three numbers?

In other news, it's been 195 days 7 hours 46 minutes 1 seconds since the last Kronwalling.
-
Anyone watching it? This is some good hockey.

If it's any consolation, I hated Bettman before his contribution to a 3rd work stoppage in 18 years.

I thought this was a pretty neat read. I wonder which players showed up to the after party? http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=645986

Not that the PA's offer was the be-all-end-all, but from the reporting it sounds like the League is sitting back waiting for the PA to come up with some kind of offer that will fix all the League's problems for them.

That was a really good race. I didn't go, but I know a few people who did, including my dad and a distant relative who traveled from SoCal for it. I will definitely be attending the MotoGP race in April though, much more affordable at $90 for weekend GA access. Plus I can just make the daily drive out there, no need for lodging.

It's sad this is considered hockey news right now.

Thanks for the updates Jedi. Even though I'm sick of reading about the lockout in general.

I always liked this song, so I always thought it was cool when they play it in the waning moments of a game when there is a crucial faceoff, etc. I'd imagine it gets the players all hyped up in the moment. DUN-DUN-DUN-DUN!
-
AFAIK they have already come to terms on the revenue split and the definitions of HRR, it's the players' contracting rights that are stifling progress. Obviously I'm not in the room, but that's what I get from the reports.
-
Ah, ambiguity...
-
No, only if they were on IR prior to the lockout.
-
That's really a moot point. Even if the '50/50' offer from the league was accepted by the players, the league had already stated that a full 82 game season was possible, starting on 11/1 I believe. Even if Jacobs wasn't close to negotiations, he could still rest assured that game would have been rescheduled. On the other hand, he shouldn't have had any indication a game wouldn't be rescheduled to that same date.
-
And just in time for the season to start....maybe.
-
I guess that explains why I didn't see him play on Nov 2.

So I was about to order a new Wings hat, mine are getting mangy, but instead, I ordered a Tigers hat. Take that NHL!
