And Z was making his debut today... Click on 'STATISTIK' for current EV Zug stats. http://www.nationalleague.ch/NL/clubs/de/zug.php

I am pleasantly surprised. At least something positive may come out of this horrible horrible day for me.
-
I spelled it wrong too :/
-
Not that I disagree with your assertion, but what does having a picture of Boogard have anything to do with it? It's a picture to illustrate fighting in hockey.

Makes me sick. Why don't they hire af****** economist who can tell them their business plan won't work.

League revenues are up to $3.3B. Players used to get 57% of the HRR split and owners 43%. League claims current system is unstable and says immediate roll backs to player salaries is the answer. League's initial offer included HRR split of 57/43. Players say it isn't their fault and they shouldn't have to bear the cost. Players are willing to give back a little but not what the league is asking for. Neither side is budging at this point and driving us hockey nuts effin crazy.

I know, but it is an important thing to point out. The League as a whole is supposedly profitable though.

That's what I was looking for. :/

In case this has not been posted yet, I guess it's an updated schedule? The dates are all whack though. Sunday was Oct 14, not 13. http://espn.go.com/n...d-espn3-october

Thanks for your detailed response. I agree. Costs went up, but so did profits, so that's something to take into account as well. I guess the way I see it is: if my company's business was booming and they agree to pay me $100K in annual salary, but the next few years encompassed the company making bad business decisions like opening up new franchises in bad locations and thus they wanted to lower employee salaries to compensate for these financial losses and try to save them; I wouldn't be so willing. On the flip side, knowing that I was making more money working for this company than I could at any comparable one, and it's the most reputable one on top of that, I might be willing to take a little pay cut to keep my position and pay. Then again, I might get pissed off and quit and while I might not make as much somewhere else, my former employer still lost my talent; however valuable that may be.

I think the thing around here is standards. It's like when you've been dating a hard 10 for a while and things just don't work out for one reason or another, so you hit the market looking for a replacement and all you can find is a solid 7, but you have a hole to fill (no pun intended) so you sign them to your roster anyways.

Quincey to play for Denver Cutthroats CHL Hockey Team
rrasco replied to Behind Enemy Lines in CO's topic in General
Ha, we have tickets cheaper than that to AHL games. Good seats are $26 and glass runs $40. Haha, hockey in Texas. -
I'm curious. Without taking sides: why do you believe the players should give up anything at all? Why are the owners entitled to anymore than they already get? This was their dream CBA 7 years ago after all. From the beginning of this CBA negotiation, the owners never risked losing anything, only something to gain. There was never the risk of the owners percentage being lowered.

I saw that. I was hoping it was going to be CSKA.

What about Nash? Wasn't he playing there too? I know he had a shoulder injury but didn't hear anything after that night. -

Who's ready for some hockey?!?!? Looks just like the Wings, but it's not. :/ -

I've never been this excited about a Griffins game I wasn't attending. -
So...you're offended by someone else's heritage, which was publicly displayed on a feed you chose to follow, so in turn you throw every insult you can his way and then go and post the same exact picture which you were offended by on another public forum?

Yay for hockey. I'm actually going to see hockey in person this weekend too. -
Report: NHL may cancel Winter Classic by November if no CBA deal
rrasco replied to a topic in General
What's going to really grind my gears is when they cancel the game, refund everyone, reschedule it for next year (or the next) and I am unable to get tickets again. And if I do, they probably won't be as good as my current tickets are. I will hurt somebody. Maybe two. -
You're right. I missed that part. I guess my eyes wander when I read the same quotes in every article about the lockout.
-
I didn't get that out of the article. It's just all the same quotes from Daly saying they want them to, but I didn't see the article say they were working on one. On that note though, I did see something earlier this week that suggested the PA was working on a new proposal.
