I remember that game well, it was the 1 game I missed in the last 3 years. We attended the Stars' season opener that year (Modano's homecoming) and my brother passed away 2 days later, I burned up my vacation on that and didn't have any PTO to make that game. IIRC, that game was 3-1 Dallas at one point, Wings went up 4-3 by the end of 2nd, and then potted 3 more in the third. I was so pissed I missed Patty's Hatty. As a HUGE fish keeper, that would simply be amazing.

I don't agree with that, the AA is an amazing venue in its own right, even for hockey. I've been to no less than 4 or 5 Wing's games there and never had a problem seeing anything. It may be steep on the second level, but I wouldn't know, I've never been up there. with $75 lower bowl tickets, why would you? Depending on where you sit in ANY venue, the corners are hard to see for hockey period, especially the closer you get to the ice. Oh, and I have a hankering it may be called Amway Arena or something along those lines....

They will probably want to fix the loopholes in the contracts that the last CBA created. (i.e. long front loaded contracts). They are also likely to push to decrease the players revenues as I believe the players are getting 57%. The NBA negotiations set a bad precedent since they were able to get the players to reduce their share to 50%. It is likely the NHL does the same. Costas asked Bettman this directly, Bettman declined comment, but Stern leaned in and said 'Yes'. Bettman looked at him like, 'you f***', but Donald and Lil Gary are friends, so I wouldn't bet against the league trying to do so. They also want realignment, which was rejected by the NHLPA already. I'm sure there is a slew of stuff we don't know about or that has not been brought to light yet.

I have a bad feeling about this. Especially after the Bettman/Stern/Costas ménage à trois. The NHL had to file the notice to legally begin negotiations or the CBA would have automatically renewed for another year. It was clear the league wanted to make changes, so this being filed is a mere formality. Unfortunately, the lockout may be another formality as well.

Which is why I don't understand why he is playing to begin with. I'm already pretty sure his knee and/or wrist was giving him problems this year, at least towards the end. Then he was hesitant to play at Worlds. I would have preferred he took the time off to heal up and get ready for a run at #12.
