Shaehan played last night. He didn't get much ice time though. I didn't get to watch the whole game, I ran into too many people I hadn't seen in a while. At any rate, my buddy who works for the league and tracks the players shifts said he hadn't written his number down much. Oddly enough, he said Tatar's time was down as well; which is weird since he and Minard tallied 2 goals each on Tuesday's comeback SO win. The Griffins dropped last nights contest 4-2. On a side note, Tuesday night, Raedeke was boarded by Selleck of the Rampage who received a 5 min major for the hit. He did not receive a misconduct and was challenged by Callaghan when he came back but Callaghan got the worst of it as he took an uppercut which buckled his knees. After the game, I got to realizing I had not seen him since the fight and again talking to my buddy who works there said Callaghan had two molars knocked out and didn't return. He did not play Thursday either. I have most of the game, all but the last 3 rounds of the SO, on my DVR so I can get a video of the fight later today if anyone wants to see it.

Seriously though, anyone have a video of the elbow sedin gave keith? I didn't watch the game.

For me it would have to be: Pens, Blues, Sharks, Hawks, Preds. I don't want Nashville to win after the whole Radulov thing, plus I want a top-tier D man this summer and that might hinder those chances, not to mention it really looks like we might draw them in the first round. I didn't really care when s***cago won in '10, but mainly because we didn't lose to them en route. I never want someone to win the cup on the backs of the Wings. Of course, the 'Detroit Sucks' thing is beyond annoying, especially when we're not even playing them. Talk about inferiority complex.

It's because he will be 27. And yes, pretty much. From the looks of it this was a move on his part to rid himself of the remaining year on his ELC while Nashville wants the help for the playoffs. It's pretty much a win/win for everyone except 29 other teams.

Because he is technically under contract with the Preds still, even though he was playing in another league overseas. BS if you ask me. That's why we lost Nabby through waivers and not to mention the trade deadline was a month ago. This guy was not just 'in their system'. He created a loop hole by giving Nashville the finger 4 years ago.

I was curious what would have gone down myself, but in no way shape or form did I want to have to ride Pearce/McCollum. McCollum gave up 4 last night before the midpoint, but he did stop 6 out of 7 in the SO and a penalty shot...so there's that.

I've seen a few of the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoff commercials they have started playing, but I had not seen this one yet. I saw it on NHL.com today. Pretty cool they are singling Dats out...he deserves it. Even though we're stuck in a rut, slumping beyond belief, and guys are dropping like flies...watching this commercial gave me that feeling. You know, THAT feeling that even though all this is going on...you never know what's going to happen and it still feels like this should be our year. I don't think there was really any 'highlight' footage of it. It was a puck being cycled around the boards that caught him awkwardly.

Good game tonight. The boys went down 3-0 early and were trailing 4-1 by the 3rd, but as I told everyone in our area, they are a third period team and they sure did show up and pot 3 goals in under 2 minutes to even the game at 4. No result after OT and they brought home the half win in the SO. Was a good game overall, it had everything, fights, major penalties, penalty shots, comebacks, and a shootout. Callaghan was in a scrap and took a hard uppercut that dropped him. Aubry was also in a fight that he didn't really get the best of either. It was awesome to watch the Griffins complete the come back, even though the SO went 7 rounds, they brought home the 2 points. Got another one on Thursday, should be fun.

I'm excited the Griffins are finally in town! I'll be at the game tomorrow sitting on the glass and will also be at the game on Thursday sitting somewhere. I'm a little bummed Nyquist was recalled so he probably won't play tomorrow, but at least the rest of the kiddos will be there. My fellow Rampage fans won't like me this week as I will of course be sporting the red and white.

I don't think Conks has to clear waivers as this is an 'emergency callup'. I guess that's not the case, but read it somewhere a little bit ago.

Dammit, not only does it suck Jimmy is hurt again, but I was supposed to watch Conks play tonight. Since he is on waivers, do they keep him with GR until he clears or what? Just curious if I am going to see some scrubs in net tonight.

Datsyuk could dangle Crosby in front of Lemieux and manage to keep him away.

That's one way to look at it, but definitely not the most likely. He wants this so he can get back into the NHL, make MORE money this year and burn the last year on his ELC.

That's what the whole deal was at the end. If he bolted the KHL without approval, he would have to pay back 2/3 of his contract value as well as nullify the remaining time on his contract. He didn't want to do that. The KHL club was interested in retaining his rights as well. He's obviously interested in milking both sides for whatever he can.

I have not paid attention to match ups yet, I was just talking about a what-if merely because it was already mentioned and I like to watch the Wings play, which I get to do in Dallas more often than in Detroit. It's so fun stirring up those Stars fans.
