Is anyone watching Red Wings live? Danny DeKeyser was forced into Lidstrom's old locker because it was the only one left. They interviewed him and he was trying to not act too overly happy but my god he looked like a giggly school girl. It was beautiful

Outstanding story man, awesome that it got cleared up haha. You should add Pasha on facebook or twitter, he posts pictures from road trips all the time. He looks like he has lots of fun. He was going to movies with Brunner (Monsters University) and was posing with Sully. It seems like he really likes to travel and make the most of every experience. He post a lot of statues and historic places.

Boys... don't implode after I quote Babcock about Abby....

Babs loves him some DeKeyser, and so do I for that matter. Looks like we won't be seeing him scratched! *knock on wood*

I hate FSD+ simply because our area doesn't get it in HD. I refuse to watch it in SD so I load up GameCenter Live on my laptop, use stealthy, and HDMI to my TV. It's 2013 comcast.... get FSD+ HD in my area.

I can't remember if it was last night or the night before but on NBCSportsNetwork they were saying that the NHLPA and NHL are already in talks with Sochi. They had just sent over officials to go recon out Sochi and check out the environment. I'm not sure of everything they went over there for, but the league and players association is trying to make it work apparently. Very good point to bring up though.... hopefully Pasha can go join Sochi because he's holding it very closely to his heart. His one answer for his "short-term goals" were: Stanley cup, Sochi 2014, and becoming a better father and husband in life.

I should've waited for our GDT to be up before putting up this one, huh? I hope this one doesn't deter Flashy or Hockeytown from doing the real one!!!

If you paid any attention to the guys life, you'd realize quickly that his daughter is his life. Axe, the problem with you is that you will dismiss logical thinking. People can show you numerous sources, reports, and quotes and you would sit there and say, Nah bro. Pasha is a world class player, absolutely, but he's also won 2 stanley cups, numerous awards and he has done more than enough for this franchise. Have you forgotten he's been here for a decade? If the man wants to go back to Russia to finish out his career (which he's blatantly stated, surely not an assumption), he will go. No one is sitting here saying "he's doing this, he's doing that." Well.... I suppose one person is assuming things pretty hard: Don't dismiss logical thinking. Don't dismiss the truth. Especially if you want to make huge assumptions like this, when you have absolutely no information to back it up. I love debating, but if you want to jump at someone with assumptions, make sure you aren't the one assuming in the first place.

His daughter was nearly 6 years old when he signed his latest contract, nonetheless it was when he was still married. He could be closer to his family, as they had a Detroit house. You can read about how he said he was the interior designer for their house, and if he didn't make it as a professional hockey player... he would've been an interior designer. Yes, his family complex changed. It's called a divorce and not having your daughter near you. I asked you, if you were divorced, would you want your ex-wife to see your daughter all the time while you were stuck in America? It was a question, not an assumption. So, I ask you, what was assumed here? Assumptions my friend, is assuming things instead of actually knowing. We know the divorce happened, we know he was married when his contract was signed, we know his daughter is in Russia right now. You now, are assuming that he is "posturing." If you want to sit there and dismiss events that actually happened... I don't know what to tell you my friend.

Injury updates, and Babcock isn't so quick to insert Bert back into the lineup with these games on the line.

Thanks for all the information man! I'll be trying to save up to get one! -
Just in time for the playoffs! Noice!

Babcock is high-fiving himself because there will most likely be zero coverage of 24/7 for all of these games. I doubt they would just do the Wings/Leafs. Babcock already hates the idea of media being allowed in the locker room, and media in general, so he has to be a little more excited to get his way. I swear I remember Babcock trying to get 24/7 denied access to the locker room because he didn't think media belonged there. I gotta find that article now. Found it: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/mike-babcock-wary-red-wings-hbo-24-7-221400389.html http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/2012/02/low-key_red_wings_not_best_att.html

Like I said in the GDT two days ago; we aren't cheering for other teams.. we're cheering indirectly for the Wings!

I'm a motivator brother. They don't want to give me what I want outta em? Oh, i'll get it outta em!

Concerned - we might not make it in to the playoffs

Yep, IIRC we're sitting 20th at goals for, and 10th at goals against. Our defense isn't the problem, especially when adding DeKeyser to the equation. The boy has helped the back-end more than we really expected. He's even considered as Babcock's final 5. If the offense would start potting them, this team could change pretty dramatically. -
It's easier to do that when your daughter doesn't fully understand everything. He signed the long contract when she was younger, it was easier for him to sign. Now... she's more mature and she's at the age where she needs him around. Nonetheless, the family complex has changed since his last signing. He was happily married when signing his contract, and now he is divorced. Would you want your ex-wife to be able to see your daughter while you're stuck in the States playing hockey? Things change my man. Put his life in perspective when thinking about contract signings. They always say come free agent time, if you want to know where someone is going.... find out where their significant other is.

Playing center will make you do that Babcock needs to keep him there.. forever. Make that boy skate and be involved more!!!

Interesting news going on in Edmonton.. Reports show Steve Tambelinni fired, Craig MacTavish new GM and Scott Howson Senior vice president. OIL COUNTRY, AWWWWW YEH THINGS GONNA GET BETT....WAIT. -
What he needs is the coach to also help fuel the fire, not tell him that he's performing the way he wants. Always try to get more out of your players. Babcock should know the potential of Mule and should know that he's capable of more. He should dig to get that out of him, not help reinforce the fact that he likes and is doing things good. No, I want 110%. I want it all and I want more, I want your heart on the ice, I want your sweat to turn into blood because there's nothing more you could possibly sweat out. BABY I WANT IT. GIVE IT TO ME.

Honestly... people liked it because it was unique. It was once a year... one match-up... one outdoor game. No wonder it made money for the league... it was that big of an event. You take that same event and divide it by six and that's what you're going to end up with. People are going to grow old and not see the same excitement because there are similar games being played around the nation. ...it just sucks. You don't have that one match-up circled on your calender. You don't need to save up for the big event... now you can choose from one of the six. All because one event makes money, doesn't mean it will make the same equivalent when broadcasted six times. I understand they need and want venue... but this is not it. This is no good.

Some quotes about it: Really surprised to hear Holland say, to get you have to give. If you read the whole article Holland talks about the transition year, allowing the younger players to play, making the playoffs. It's a decent article and honestly I think we're going to see Holland make some moves this off-season.
