I think Datsyuk is really missing Bert. I can imagine them two being the weird combination of friendship within the locker room. Bert being all stern but his joke side, pasha with his quiet but joke side. Bert mimic's his shootouts and tries to one up it. Playing on the same line, produced together, several celebration hugs . The loveship between them is gone! Pasha misses his Bert!

That right always hits Tootoo up.

Tootoo and Brown again

I also thought this was a possibility. We'll.... never know now.

I same the same exact thing to my girlfriend. "Wow, Brendoané really speaks well for himself. He sounded really good and gave a novel for each answer. That was insane." What was REALLY interesting is when Micky Redmond was giving his segment. They asked what he had thought about Nyquist playing with Datsyuk and Abby playing on the 3rd line to pair up with Ryan Nugent Hopkins. Micky said that when asked about his teammates, Datsyuk actually said he LIKED Abdelkader on his line. He liked his physicality and he felt like he opened space for him. Apparently Babcock had asked Datsyuk about his line and he said he didn't want it changed. I have zero idea, but that's what came out of Micky Redmond's mouth.

The Flames huh? I sure hope we don't lose 2-5.

What happened this morning then?

So basically, translation: I heard a rumor from someone, i'm going to call them credible. I asked them if I could say this rumor out loud and make a story on it. I'm going to get so many hits and my readers are going to love it because they think i'm telling the truth and honestly know what's going to happen from a year and a half from now. I understand I don't work for a credible website, as it's written by a bunch of fans, but my hits don't care about that, so good bye. Thanks for ignoring all logical reasoning and not seeing that what your friend tells you, may change down the road, as in life, anything can change. Also, if your buddy the credible source doesn't care if you use this information, why the hell wouldn't you tell us what connection he has with them? You could've even been vague, but no, you're just going to keep calling them a "credible or verified source"

Exactly. Last off-season I wanted to bust a thread about Ryan Suter coming to Detroit after my friend was texting me from the dinner with the player. The player is still on the roster, and is a full-time roster player. He straight up said, we're getting Parise but we're not getting Suter. I had private messaged a moderator on here, even telling him of this information but we choose not to say anything because as always, it doesn't matter what other people say, it's all here say until the actual person tells you the truth. I can tell people in my life numerous different things, just to tell them something. I don't need to tell them my true intentions, but something that will make them happy. People do this all the time. Until Pavel Datsyuk comes out and says for sure he's done with Detroit and is going to KHL after this contract, it's just here say. Will he finish his career in Russia? Yes, he has stated this that he wants to FINISH his career in Russia. Does that mean he's gone after this current contract? No. It means before he's done playing hockey, he's going to Russia. He's 36, not 42. He can play another 2 seasons at the NHL level, be 38 and still play easily 4 years within the KHL until the age of 42. Buddy, i've had sources tell me straight up something was going to happen, and it didn't. Numerous times. Things aren't secure in life, they are ever changing. Thoughts, feelings, mindframes, personalities, change. He could hate Detroit right now, and love it next year to where he wants to re-sign. Writing a report about someone retiring and moving back to their homeland a year and half before their contract is up, is silly. This article is better based within next year on his contract year. Too many things can change. And about your post earlier, HFB doesn't find KK a variable source. That being said, if one of the most popular and creditable hockey resources says that website isn't worth looking into, it probably shouldn't.

They project that he will be coming to America next year, whether it be directly to the big show or the Griffs, is to be decided. I think it revolves around what our situation will look like going into next season. We'll probably give him a go at training camp and possibly pre-season but it's more realistic that he comes in at the 14-15 season. He's a great playmaker, skater, and can play in the top six, i'm just unsure of how fast he can get within the top 6.

It's great that you've been blogging for the past 8 years, and it's great that you didn't cite a source within your article. Listen, I've had a friend sit in at a dinner with a current Wings player that straight up told him that we were getting Ryan Suter locked for sure last season, you see where that went? You can't trust anyone. Everything is here say until we actually get it from someone reliable and it HAPPENS, get the second part, HAPPENS. I too, can sit here can tell you that I have an outstanding source that says Pavel Datsyuk said you're full of s***. Wanna see who can cite their sources first? There's a reason why Kuklas Korner isn't a verifying source on HFBoards, it's because you've "broken" more s*** than you can handle.

The only thing that scares me about losing Filp is losing Pasha along with him. We lose Filp, it doesn't hurt as much if Pasha re-signs on another 1-2 years because he can play the 2nd line center. If we lose Filp and Pasha, then we're SOL on a 2nd line center and they don't come easy. I'm frustrated as much as anyone else when it comes and came to the development of Filp, every year we thought it was going to be "his year." What scares me is that he's going to play lights out, like any other player would in a contract year, sign his contract and call it a day. If he keeps his level up from yesterday, I personally thought he was one of the better forwards out there. That is, also neglecting the fact that he had an assist on one of the Flames goals.

None the less, he's publishing this "rumor" during a shortened season when Pavel has a full season on deck still. If this was published this time next year and he still wasn't signed to an extension, yeah I could see it being something but this guy is just getting attention and people are biting on it like it's bait. Wait until he actually has to sign something to make stupid articles like this. The move to the east scares Pavel? What, that he'll oversleep a game due to less travel?

I think Holland pinned it on it's head. There just isn't enough sellers right now because there isn't much separation. Like he said; Separation = Activity. If there's separation there is activity, if there isn't there isn't activity. Right now everyone feels they have a shot at the playoffs, if they get in, anything can happen, so why would they sell the house? We need to wait for teams to start dropping out of the playoff race, and then we would most likely start seeing stuff go down. The East is more separated but we're heading there next season, you really don't want to do business with someone within your conference/division unless it was the perfect trade to help both teams out. The West isn't separated by any means, it's a giant logjam with every team thinking they have a shot, so no one wants to sell right now and they would be more willing to deal with us.

BOG Approves realignment, Detroit to the East in 2013/14.

Isn't it 4 original 6 teams? Detroit, Toronto, Montreal, Boston -
I agree with you and I think for the majority some of us has felt that way from earlier in the season. The defense was giving off passes that weren't settling on the blades of the forwards causing a slow down in the neutral zone. If you don't break the neutral zone with speed, you're going to have a bad time. Our forwards are consistently having to put on the brakes to correct an outlet pass. That shouldn't happen, and it is one of the main problems. From the start of the season, I've said this team is deadly when healthy, unfortunately we haven't had it. We've had random rookies come up and impress, but we've lacked the team we actually had on paper. I completely agree that I would add in puck-moving defensemen... stay at home... oh wait Ryan Suter . Along with adding in a nice puck-moving D, we NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED something in our top 6 as a dominate scorer. Franzen ain't frickin it. He can't even rail an open net in the high slot. When we actually do have a good breakout, get possession within the zone and keep pressuring it still doesn't translate into goodness, we need some goodness. We need to start finishing, potting em, hitting the twine, making the light scream, going top ched, we need it. Add a top 6 scorer and a puck moving defensemen and this team would be looking great. Smith I think has been doing good, it's hard to judge him because of his injury. Right before his injury, it looked like he was stepping into his own and getting comfortable. He came back, and now he's slowly looking like he's getting there but certainly not where he was before hand. It certainly doesn't help that everyone is taking the body on him all game long and he isn't avoiding the hits the best he can. He has looked really good and poise some games with his puck handling and distribution, but we need that to be an all-time thing. We certainly can't all hope that Smith stepping into his first full-time season would look like a seasoned veteran. He needs to get used to the league, the timing of the league, the size of the league, the skill of the league, etc.

Huh? Sidney Crosby: 2012-13 $7,500,000 $7,500,000 $0 — $8,700,000 and then... 2013-14 $12,000,000 $12,000,000 $0 $0 $8,700,000 2014-15 $12,000,000 $12,000,000 $0 $0 $8,700,000 he's still only hitting 8.7 in the cap hit and for the best player in the world... yeah... that's a discount. Look at Ovi.

I honestly think he's hindering an injury but doesn't want to let the team down. He knows how much he means to this team and him dropping out for games would put this team into a bigger tailspin than we are currently. Even in the shootout he simply went in and shot 5-hole, not even a single forehand backhand. He hasn't really been strong on the puck, faceoffs have been lacking, and overall he just seems... OFF. Not like, I can't play hockey anymore off but on the I can't play hockey at the level i'm supposed to due to an lingering injury off spectrum.

We need more of you around here. I seriously was so refreshed reading all of that, instead of this negative bulls*** that always follows a lost.

I wouldn't immediately say that because you have absolutely NO knowledge of how Pasha feels. I've seen him numerous times on the bench with a smile on his face, joking around with Abby, and generally looking like he has a lot of fun. We as fans simply don't know what the hell goes on daily. We don't. We don't know the conversations Babcock has with the players, we don't know how the locker room is. For all we know, Babcock could be perfectly explaining himself to Pasha why he has the linemates he has, and Pasha is more than okay with that. He knows he can handle a team by himself, he knows he can individually have enough skill and effort to carry a line, unfortunately he hasn't been able to do so. Some players get motivated when they are looked upon, other's can't. We simply just don't know what the hell is going on so we can't say stuff like this. This article, all of it, is just here say. Some of the closest people to the franchise and travel with the organization have said they personally think he will be signing on for years to come, Larry Murphy thinks he's going for four years, but that's simply just not going to happen in my eyes. I'm just saying, the guys who ACTUALLY spend time with the team, players, and all the supporting cast have been saying they see an extension, as all the fans who have absolutely no place with the team except rooting them on says, "HES NOT HAVING ANY FUN HES GOING BACK TO RUSSIA." Okay, well, i'm going to side with the opinion that actually has connections within the locker room, not a bunch of kids and adults that talk hockey over the internet.

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh less 10-10:30 games -
I can agree with that, he does start to lose coverage within the zone, but i'll take his fore check and pressure for the time being because it is effective. We can agree on those things

Physicality wise, the East is rougher; Defensively I would say the East is weaker. The West seems to play more of a defensive game while the East plays more of an offensive game.
