He could've gotten a lot less crap from all the previous seasons if he used that damn big framed body of his like he should and has been this season. He deserved the whippings he got previously, and he seriously shut us all up because in most opinions, we can see him as the most improved defensemen over the years, and certainly our most consistent right now. He still makes the occasional mistake, but DAMN he's improved his play.

I thought his younger brother Reiley played Winger on the Stars? How many brothers does this man have?! It was nice to see him stick up for himself. MacKenzie injured him, and the past 2 games against CBJ he was finishing EVERY check on Smith. I was happy to finally see Smitty say, F This let's do it.

The two players that seriously have impressed me this season have been Kindl and Emmerton. Hated both before the season started (or atleast didn't care for their play), and wouldn't care if we lost either of them but both seriously have improved their game. I'm not saying Emmerton is a game changer, but i'm certainly agreeing with Axe more about his assessment. He can handle his own, and within the past recent games he's been a little workhorse. I can't hate that. Kindl has been getting more and more poised with the puck. In the offensive zone you can really see it, he can handle pressure on the points on the powerplay, and can move it up if needed. I agree i've started seeing him use his body more, which is good to see because Babcock got on his ass about it.

it seemed like white second guessed a lot of his outlet passes which caused for the lane to close up before utilizing it. he didn't stand out or impress me retrieving the puck. all in all, he didn't play that big of a game to convince Babcock he needs to be out there. I'd prefer Lashoff and his ability to play physical, clear the crease, and stand by the basics when it comes to the transition.

Not at the beginning through the first two, but we've come out swinging as it looks in the 3rd. Got momentum from a 5-on-3 start and goal in the 3rd.

I said the same thing, he was aimming perfectly for the far side opening between Clears' legs.

Blame the corporations rather than the fans. The corporations buy the tickets and don't give them out, or people just simply don't grab them because they don't even know their business has them. The real fans would love to buy em, just unfortunately it's good for Mr.I to have solidified sold seats.

I said this a few GDT's ago. He hasn't been normal in the circle and you can certainly see he isn't all there in the game. He can't even control some of his footwork some times and can barely buckle down a puck at times. I think his wrist has been acting up again, which is from earlier in the season. They rushed him back into games after only missing one game, and I think they possibly got it hurt again. He just seems OFF

and to think we had 2009 zetterberg earlier this season

During Red Wings Live on FSD they had an interview with Holland. During it, he said that basically, when it comes to trade deadline action, it comes down to separation. If there is separation, there is action; if there isn't separation; there isn't much action because everyone thinks they're in it. He brought up that acquiring Darren Helm is a trade deadline pickup alone. He stated that they aren't going to be sellers, but they would love to be buyers.

I'm hoping and feeling a WAY better 2nd period. They've slacked the past 2 1st periods, but came out swinging later in the game. They need to come out swinging and looking for blood early.
