#5 Philadelphia Flyers vs. #4 Pittsburgh Penguins

I absolutely love watching Philly, but I feel they're in for a big treat when Bryz can't hide behind another s***ty goalie. MAF and Bryz are just playing horrible, Philly and Pitt have the offensive talent but damn man, its so sickening. Now, that doop song.... i'm starting to like.

Something different and useless to talk about

Not every goalie that is 6'5" is as fast as Rinne. Not only is he big, but hes fast and that's why he is so hard to play against.

Time to start looking for a new coaching staff

Wrong and wrong. The problem is not Datsyuk and Zetterberg. While you can make an argument that datsyuk is more predictable than he was previously, you cannot say that he declined his skill. He had a great injury and quite frankly noone knows that he has recovered fully from that incident. Same as to zetterberg, I think overall the Wings have just become too predicable and it hurts us in the long run. Look at our powerplay, otherwise. Babcock went out to find new coaches for a new style because things weren't working, well quite frankly... we probably won't see their potential until a year or two in the NHL.

    Nashville and this series.

Nashville reminds me of Chicago in 2010. They put everything in the win the Stanley Cup that year, now for further years beyond that? Ehhh, we're going to see s*** hit the fan. It's a year push and let them try to get what they can get out of.

Well that's also a big thing... do you think Mr.Ilitch will let go of his right hand man Kenny Holland? I personally don't.

    Nyquist getting some attention

One of the biggest complaints I have currrently. The only thing I could see from Babcock is that he doesn't see Nyquist making anything of himself due to size on the top 6, so he throws him on the bottom six. He hopes that nyquist can magically develop the 4th line into some magical line that will produce, except for that they can barely play the transition game and get it through the neutral zone fast enough. If you want to implement Nyquist's skillset you need to give him a legitimate line pairing. Then, he will expose his skillset you want out of him.

Honestly, all i've gotten recently from Babcock is that he's not certainly happy with the front office. He has kept asking for what he sees is a winning team. Now, I know this trade deadline that the market was horrible and they didn't want to overpay people, but its been on numerous occasions that Babcock has said that he wishes he had more physicality at hand. He wants a bigger team and he wants to implement that into his game, but he can't because hes coaching what is given to himself. He said he loved the Pitts and Philly series, he loved it, damn well seemed he wishes he could be coaching a team like that. But, he won't be because its not what he's given. Babcock can be one hell of a coach, and we know this, but damn ignoring his wishlist each and every year may be frickin hurting us. I know he said that this is the best team hes coached in his eyes since 09, but you have to know that him and the front office aren't seeing eye to eye.

I'm effy with the hit quite honestly. I kept trying to view the play over and over. You can see Torres doesn't take any extra strides into the hit, but he certainly looks like he leaves his feet. The explosion extension of his elbow doesn't come until after the initial contact is made. So, what can I see out of this? Well, most likely a game because he left on a stretcher. If anything, I really think its a freak incident that resulted into a horrible result. **EDIT** Now, let it be known.... I don't like Raffi Torres, I certainly don't condone his play and I think he's a frickin ******* on the ice. But, I also will judge this as it is.

Seriously, what is wrong with you guys? If anything, Babcock has been sitting here asking for a more physical speedy team, but Holland won't deliver. So now you want Babcock gone? Man, you guys need to calm down after losses.

My only complaint about him right now is his size. If he wants to wing, he needs to get bigger over the off-season to handle corner puck battles. Right now he's a bit too easy to get off the puck, but the boy has some hands and will have a great career.

Shea Weber fined for Zetterberg "headslam"

What's beautiful is that Mike Smith returned and played the rest of his game after getting "ran" by Andrew Shaw. Personally, I think Smith sold his head back and made the hit look a thousand times worst, anyways... no injury on the play but 3 game suspension? CONSISTENCY.

WCQF Game Four GDT : Predators 3 at Red Wings 1

Well, i'm not sure I liked the way they played the crease on Sunday honestly. Sometimes it seemed like they didn't know who was due infront of Rinne, so we would have two players trying to screen the same guy which lead to rebounds happening but noone close enough to actually pot it. I like crashing the net, I like pressure, but I don't like seeing cluttering which leads to missed opportunities when you can't let them be missed. What I do want, is to see some chase to the puck, some battling, some space being created. We like to pass and make the perfect play, and with a goalie like Rinne you need to throw pucks at the net and low hoping for juicy rebounds. We need powerful guys that won't be manhandled in the crease, otherwise you're worthless playing there.

Do the Pens Have the Cup Locked Up?

I'm sure he won't be issuing an official statement, as he declined any further comments to the press. He's always looking what is good for the organization and what is best for him, which is obvious and you would expect a majority co-owner to speak that way. But, it comes to a point inwhich you just look silly. After issuing his statement against the Islander game inwhich the Penguins got blown out 9-3 (i believe) and there was like 359 PIM issued, you would ONLY EXPECT him to redeem some credibility and release a statement concerning a similar game inwhich THEY got blown out 8-5 and there was more than a luxury amount of PIM.
