Its going to affect the team in one of two ways: either the wings get fueled by this injury and they "do it for helmer" or they just lost some motivation that they lost helmer back on the first game back. I hope it fuels them rather than bring them down, but I know it's got to be frustrating to just get back your #1 PK'er back have that extra motivation that things are looking up from the injury bug and then you just get a swift kick in the crotch (i know ladies are present!) like losing helmer in game 1.

Sharks in 6 for my personal opinion. I think when it boils down playoff experience is going to pay off big time for SJ. The blues are just too inexperienced and young, when they face adversity, they're lost. San Jose will capitalize when they're down and it will ultimately win them the series. Now, with that being said Elliott / Halak can steal games and they could come out on top. The playoffs are just a whole different beast than season series.

Babcock said himself that they could match any line in the league and give them a run for their money. Helmer will hopefully be back by game 2 and we'll see that 3rd line together.

This guy posting about Nashville makes me laugh. Anyways, it'll be a good series. Tough fought with maybe one game not being decided by one. End result i think the Wings will take it in 6. Red wings take first game, nash responds and the series is tied going to Detroit. I think the Wings take both at home but will be rough games. Nashville takes game 5 at home but Detroit clinches at home and wins the series.
