The current rule says the puck cannot come to a complete stop, they're currently in talks trying to make sense of better ruling when it comes to shootouts. The biggest argument was Burrows spin o rama goal earlier, when he basically just runs the goalie over and backhands on the finish of the spin o rama. The new rule propositions are that either they rule it once the player comes to a complete stop, or that they want a shot clock (10 seconds was the example). The shot clock is to favor the goalie because the skater would likely not know their time and rush the net in hopes of never reaching the end to the shot clock, while it may also cause the skills competition to last 82 games long.

Pasha probably saw this video, put it in the realistic approach that you would fail upon trying must attempts therefore, the percentage of accomplishing the move while producing is very low compared to the trouble of trying it. Fun move to try in warm ups or a shoot out, but has no place within a play. Requires too much time and space. Awesome video though, i've never seen it!

Although I didn't want it at the Big House, it's for the better. Luckily, i'm only an half hour away and the lady goes to UofM so I think this works in my favor.

Hey boys, didn't want to make another thread but here's the TOP 10 midseason plays released! http://www.youtube.c...v=JkCzeFnQOuU#! I don't think Crosby's goal should've been there, pretty standard play that Zett can pull off normally if given the chance. I was going to be pissed if they didn't include the filthy Duchene goal. Overall, some sick moves and filthy saves, good watch.

Pretty good article, I enjoyed reading it. Sure some of you would love to read it and have some laughs. **overview** its a selection of the winners and losers of the current mid season, it's got some laughs. http://www.downgoesb...-midseason.html

That's it boys, guess we gotta sign a line straight for fighting! CALL UP THE FRONT OFFICE. I can see it now, "STUDIES SHOW FIGHTING WINS STANLEY CUPS!" The sad part is... they do :[ All jokes aside, I don't see much argument that fighting would boost the team up.

Yeah you better have your flame suit ready. In regards to playing Conks on Thursday though, it gets tricky. While we may be under the impression that the team wants to play infront of him, or maybe they don't, (until one of us works within the locker room please let's keep our expert opinions to a minimal) it's still risky putting 2 points on the line. Last night we were playing an eastern team that we only play once, it was a good chance for babs to risk playing Conks. Playing against another western team we're risking too much standing wise, inwhich I don't see babs pulling the trigger on that. I would LOVE for conks to setup and let howie rest during these next few weeks, inorder for us to run howie late in the season straight into the playoffs so he's ready. Unfortunately, i'm not sure what road we'll be taking come trade deadline, and i'm pretty scared to say the most. Instead of investing cap money into finalizing the roster for a deep run, we'll be putting worthless money into a backup.

Conklin was the problem? No way brother, how about 5 goals scored by 1 line? If you're looking for an out for last nights lost you may want to consider how we couldn't shut down their top line. We got out ran last night, they were quicker on the puck and what did they do? convert. What didn't we do? convert.

Ryan Kesler has been easily one of the most fond hockey players non-wings related for me, unfortunately it seems slowly but surely he is just rubbing me all the wrong ways on how he conducts himself. I'm not saying I know him personally but after receiving that beautiful legitimate hockey hit he has come off as one of the weakest minded hockey players i've come across. Listen, if you're going to play, none-the-less at a professional level being considered one of the best two-way forwards in the league, understand that when you have positive control of the puck and give Kronner no less an opportunity to lay you out, you're going to get hit/knocked off the puck. The latest interview of Kesler b!tching about Kronner just had me laughing, " I think if you're going to hit guys like that, you're going to have to drop the gloves." "I think he has zero career fights in his career," Kesler said. "If you're going to continue to hit like that, I think you've got to answer the bell." Kesler delivered a thigh-on-knee hit on Henrik Zetterberg's left leg, though Kesler denied doing so. "I have no idea what you're talking about," Kesler said when asked by a Detroit reporter. Why? Why does Kesler magically think because Kronner wants to dish legitimate hits that stop plays dead in their tracks, ending what could be a potential odd man rush/scoring chance, he needs to drop the gloves? No less you come back later in the game and knee someone back? Please, someone get this 13 year old he isn't playing bantam anymore. Detroit Sports Nation and MLive report Kronner will not receive a fine nor suspension for the legal hit.

Why, let me break it down for you why this was the BEST decision to not fight after that hit; a.) you just stopped a breakout on one of the best two way players, i mean, the play completely stopped. Guess what, kronner did his job. b.) fighting injuries, as said earlier, are avoidable injuries. If you want to fight after you just got hit, you better be damn sure that hit was illegal. Kronners, as said many times before, is not an illegal hit. Kronner admits that he left his feet, not purposely but obviously when you step up on someone like that you're going to propel into them, it can be accidental. c.) we got a powerplay out of it, why? Because Kesler was acting like an idiot. Understandable, you were just laid out by Kronner, but guess what instead of crying because you got hit in a contact spot how about you DON'T take a penalty and go score a goal. Beat them with skill, not taking stupid penalties. I'm sorry, but absolutely nothing Kesler did after that hit was acceptable. His temper was up, obviously, but you can't let things like that take over your discipline. It's an immature move, especially from one of the highly skilled players in our league. It's just another reason why Vancouver doesn't go all the way and falls short, they don't have the discipline or maturity. Small things like this don't win championships, i don't care how small or big of a problem it is, I wouldn't allow my players to act like a bunch of teenagers on the ice under my watch.

How do you view the player isocam? And when is it on Pasha?
-
I don't understand why Cleary magically thinks he is a 40-50 goal scorer, dude talks like he's not Dan "Average" Cleary.
-
I think you're missing when the defensemen picks up the puck behind the net only to get met with an oncoming winger while his head is down. I think that's what we're trying to look at

Hope those boys are ready for some change, i've heard Hitchcock still uses old school coaching styles and isn't scared of some hazing to get their minds straightened up. Like it.

One of the most annoying factors while the sharks are just having their way with us... Todd McLellan... I can't stand his face, I can't stand the way he exploits us each and every game, I personally just hate the guy and i've never even met him. He's just a good frickin coach.
-
You think they would have set standards to try and implement a system inwhich all arenas had damn near same setups boards and ice wise for more consistency in the league.

HOW IS NO ONE +1'ing THIS BESIDES ME?!
-
Haha me and the girl both said 'THATS OL MICKEY' when we first saw the commercial on television. Immediately reminded me of the original six intro last season
-
I could only hope we could make this happen, but I don't see this dream becoming a reality. How do you think it would pan out if possible? Where would we clear to make space?
-
I had a reply typed up, defending Hudler considering its only been two games in the season and hes improved ten fold from last season...... but considering this is LGW, I just deleted it to spare myself from the flame wall.
-
Didn't need to touch him much, as long as he influenced the play in a positive matter! I think it was a great play and nice hit. Great to see the Wings being aggressive early on
