It really isn't even the lack of playing, or who's playing better. These teams are so evenly matched it comes up to who makes the most mistakes and who can CAPITALIZE on those mistakes. Special teams have obviously shined in this series and San Jose showed they can make the most of the opportunities at hand, but is that because they're the better team or is it because we're the one's making the mistakes allowing the to capitalize? Can the wings come back and win? Ofcouse, but it's all about mental attitude taking one period at a time. Last night the Sharks won, personally, because they weren't scared of making mistakes. It wasn't do or die for them, it was another game, they could afford to make the mistakes. When you're playing that kind of hockey it allows you to just go along with the momentum of the game. The Wings were trying to never make mistakes and you can't play hockey like that, you need to just react not think.

Can we stop bitching about the loses of this year and last years team? Do Red Wing fans understand you can't win the Stanley Cup every frickin year? Come on boys, I think this fan base is more knowledgeable than this. We act like we AREN'T spoiled year in and out by actually making the playoffs. Like most have stated previously; I don't believe anyone legitimately hates the actual Vancouver Canuck team. I personally love most of your players and the style of hockey they play. I know Gilles has been mimicking the Detroit front office organization and trying to bring more success in their future. Now, with all of that said, I think it's been the fan base that talks on HF boards, at games, and a few that come here and have ruined a lot of the respect of the Canucks. With 3/4 of the season done all we had to deal with was threads about statistics dealing with Vancouver winning a cup, dominating this, dominating that; it became old. I respect that you came on here and asked this question though, because I, myself, have been pondering where all this hatred came from really.

I really think this series is going to be a lot different than most anticipate it to be. Nashville really has the power to shut down Vancouver and send them home. Vancouver's style is dependent on working behind the net and towards the corners, they viciously throw the puck towards the slot and hope for the man to bury it. Nashville does a good job at preventing these things and Rinne is a huge goalie. I haven't seen much of Vancouver's style going for those rebound goals, they rely on the fast cycling and snipe shots. With Rinne's size they NEED to rely on rebound goals, although they do a good job normally at having sitting back door if the rebounds come. Nashville plays a very aggressive back-check and pressure the points aggressively, Vancouver is good at cycling and their fast passes so it will be interesting to see how it plays out. Shea Weber has one of the most accurate and powerful slap shots in the game, and if they keep the net presence you'll see plenty of goals for Nashville. Luongo can't be comfortable like last night during the Chicago game, there was no net presence bothering him. If Vancouver can keep the slot and in-front of the net cleared they'll be safe but this reminds me of the previous seasons of Vancouver vs Chicago. Last year Byfuglien practically destroyed Luongo himself by being the net presence. Depending on what team wants it more this series is likely going to end in 6 games towards the team that actually implements the right style of hockey to counter the other.

Rinne is huge and can move, can dominate the style hockey the nucks bring. Vancouver going in as the favorites on the matchup but the preds are looking to make more history. They climbed a huge wall and won a first round matchup, they are looking for more. Don't underestimate the preds, nucks, because they will come out of the woodworks with some momentum. I honestly dont even know what to predict this series as.

I love when hes like we got 3 real good, wait 4, helm's line is fantastic. Babcock himself is stunned with how great that line is doing right now, god bless them. Helm is turning into one hell of a player that is hungry for some post-season success. That boy doesn't have an off button I swear. Wing's depth is becoming very scary and apparent post-season. Another good line that really just gave me a sigh of relief, I was worried about them really taking this break too easy, as in they were gonna relax too much. It's nice that Babcock has the mindframe this isnt a break, the real break is late June, and they know that. I like that, makes me feel better knowing Babcock is probably going to run them just the same to keep those legs fresh and get everything oiled and ready to go for round 2.

I hung big E up to dry this regular season, couldn't stop complaining about his horrible play but he came to prove us wrong this post season, he's been banging people up, throwing players to the corners and outside, and actually has some confidence with his passes. I know the motto of hockey is dont think just react but man, he's been thinking about his passes before just throwing the puck down the ice. The one thing I could possibly judge him right now post-season wise is his habit to shoot the puck no matter what when he gets it in the zone, he is very trigger happy and most of the time misses the net. I'm not talking good missing the net like lidstrom or rafi, i'm talking "I was legitimately trying to hit the net and just misaimmed."

I don't think we have enough room for a 3+ mil goalie, if he honestly wants a chance at the cup Detroit is obviously the number one choice, being cup contenders here for well about a decade. If they do infact go to Winnipeg i'm not sure if Doan will follow, even though it was his drafted team and played for the Jet's before they became the Yotes.
