When I heard the interview a little ago I had a smile on my face, why? Babcock is in previous form, strict but fair. Not saying he is an ******* as his early years but hes lighting fires under peoples ass, he isn't tolerating a level of game play, if someone isn't willing to play to his standards and theres another player willing to do so hes going to give them the chance. I like it, I hope Salei doesn't take it absolutely the wrong way like hes getting pushed out the door and I hope he takes it as an learning experience that Babcock isn't ******* around. I personally think Salei has looked great out there but he is a bit slow, I would love him to use his big body some more but I wish that on everyone of our defensive defensemen. The Getzlaf, Perry, Ryan line is the scariest lineup in the NHL hands down, thats not even including all three log double shifts during the playoffs. They get worked to the bone and produce under the stress. Emery is playing real good taking up from Dan Elli's slack and filling in for Hiller as he comes off of IR. I know Hiller got destroyed his first game back but right now they have steady goaltending with OUTSTANDING offense. Anaheim is the team I don't want to come near during playoffs.

Bert trys to stay out of trouble and he's trying to clean his name after the Steve Moore incident that no one is allowing to give up on. It's nice to see him use his body out there again but with an small little incident would probably put him right back at square one. I was at the game and it didn't look that bad of a hit at all, I was upset to see him booted out of the game but obviously they're trying to protect the players and any hit near the head they're going to call on. I really hope Bert doesn't go down the path of may I say "pussyfooting" around after this, I would like to see him use that big body of his play the boards and create space.

Quick question, as for AHL players, do they have a chance of continuing their schooling or did Nyquist end up throwing away his senior years for his dream? I understand the salary of the AHL is ~38,000 and thats fine and dandy but I also feel bad that the guy is on his senior year of college and is now chasing the dream of a professional hockey player instead of finishing school. He sounds like hes got his head on his shoulders and can be a great assist to the team, I hope the best for him for his tryout and season with the GRG!

Yeah i'm pretty sure I don't see Wing fans trying to start fights after games we've beaten Vancouver this season. I'm sure I haven't seen any American flags being flown all over the stadium. But hey, to each his own right? We should've screamed HOWWWWWW after every save we played at the Rogers Arena. Seriously guy.... were you even at the game last night?

This completely, I couldn't believe how many idiotic fan's Vancouver had there just making their fan base look like utter and I mean utter s***. Me and my girlfriend were just trying to get to the people mover and we saw them trying to practically start fights. I'm not sure if i'm alone here but i'd rather fight someone over the knowledge of their team and hockey as a sport than fight someone physically over a HOCKEY GAME.

Went to the game, thought it was fine. Considering the fact that we were missing our key element player... datsyuk... The dude makes this team, his style, plays, and just having him around, he excites everyone. I also got to witness a vancouver fan and detroit fan almost make out after the game... drunk idiots! Everyone needs to calm down.. Detroit is doing what they should be, resting key players for the playoffs... not worrying too much about the finish of the season. They're balancing it out to fix the problems they need to and use these last few games to try and see what works before its too late to try new things without costing big time. Vancouver doesn't understand this philosophy, understandingly this is why they'll never succeed in the playoffs Most Vancouver fan's wouldn't realize this though, probably why they were all running around acting like idiots once they won.

I would love to see this truce but unfortunately we all know whenever something drastic in the game neither side will shut up. It's a big game for both sides with both sides missing very key roles. Unfortunately noone cares about that enough and this will become a "wings aint s*** canucks win the cup" or "vancouver aint s*** wings win cup" s*** talkfest. Helm will be making more after this season. Eaves is a huge pk'er and has been playing with heart all season, i dont forsee Holland letting him go. As much as miller is trying to prove his icetime currently i see him getting the let go. Draper may retire after this season. Lidstrom will most likely come back after this season but take once again another paycut. Osgood was saying since his surgery he'll see how he does and see how the future lays.

I'll be attending this game with the girl. Wings resting up for playoffs but if they can show up like they did the last 20 minutes of Monday's game I forsee a big upset. 2-1 wings. Mursak - Modano (M2) LGW!
