Read the article, Filp is due back Thursday anyways BUT I wouldn't mind seeing Mursak coming back, he brought it when he got the chance to play. I would say this hurts us penalty killing wise, but on a brighter note hopefully we see filp and modano back on saturday at latest!

Lol, good game last night. Honestly though, tampa bay looked deflated last night. Like mickey kept saying, they looked nervous playing us. Which makes me only assume... if tampa bay cant handle the pressure of playing a game between stevie's old team, then they wont beable to handle the pressures of the playoffs. Bad showing last night of their confidence. Even roloson looked scared playing the puck behind his net, honestly thought he was shaking a bit. Just my 2 cents. In other news, nice to see all the red and white last night! LGW

I think shanahan and draper answer the question perfectly. 1997 team was gritty hardworking and that won them their championship. 2002 was based on ALOT of talent.. ALOT ALOT ALOT of talent, sometimes strictly talent does get you to the cup. Mind you, they also had easily one of the best coaches to coach the NHL at the time also..

Last night on NHL on the Fly Holland got interviewed via phone about the trade deadline. He said with Stuart coming back for thursday's game, Modano coming back roughly 2 weeks, and Osgood coming back soon to fulfill the gap with backup goalie (I thought MacDonald was perfectly fine IMO) he wasn't so sure he would have to make any moves. He said he was still in talks with other GM's who were sellers and he wanted to see what was out there but it's not so much of a NEED for him at this time. He wants to see how the back-end improves with Stuart's return firstly.

Saw this just now on HFBoards so I thought i'd pass the information here. Www.rivercitysports.com is having a huge sale on authentic jerseys, $149.99, i believe their rep's are going for 40 bucks also. Have a look on the website. Their reputation is good and jerseys known to be legit. If anyone is in the market for a new jersey this may be your break. Happy shopping, lgw.

I had a website on my laptop, once I get home I'll take a gander for you

What you're saying is, the defence is actually a bunch of pirates, due to global average temperature increasing our defence is slowly not showing up each and every game... interesting.

Most likely shipping off to boston @casey

I know we all check mlive regularly here, so i'll get straight to the point. Franzen tells mlive that it doesnt help when the goalies (steve mason and pekke rinne) both played games of their lives and this is what caused the scoring drought. I feel this, firstly, isn't the way to approach the public on the subject. I feel like he should've worded it just alittle more friendly to the eyes because it can be taken out of context quite easily. Now, do you feel like this was the biggest contributing factors? I feel like Franzen is almost being confident to the point of cockiness but i like it.

So I was sitting on my thinking chair doing my business when an interesting question popped into my head. Has anyone ever attempted to skate across the ice with the puck similar to the Michigan move? Before the breakout, if the defencemen had popped the puck to his stick and started skating along with it, is he free game to get nailed out of his body? What would be the coverage on this... ultimately we would have a lacross style field hockey. This question arises because of the super skills competition and how everyone and their mother went for atleast one type of the Michigan move.
-
Yes that's the origin of the "Michigan" move, somehow people still think Cindy Crybaby made it and actually have the heart to call it the "Cindy Crybaby."

Datsyuk & Holmstrom more than likely won't play this weekend
evilzyme replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
Completely agree all the time. As much as I miss pasha, and homer... i'd rather see them out another weekend than another month... don't be greedy boys, we're doing fine as we are right now. Let our men heal properly... Don't be so absurd... as much talent as pav''s brings to the lineup day in and day out, remember.. homer is our work horse, dude crashes the net like no other, don't underestimate homer. He's a one and only when it comes to causing that havok infront of the net. -
JIMMY HOWARD, Y U NO HAVE XRAY VISION?

Whats the goal song they play for Maltby in the video posted with the GDT? I can't put my finger on it.... -
Sorry to bust your balls but my girlfriend pointed out how you neglected to keep her birthday present in this and last month's calender. You're missing January 31st...
