Lol I was being a bit sarcastic, I'm glad he's had at least a good start so far for them -

2 pts in 2games in NSH so far PISSED -
My dog is very effective playing defensively with Glen and Miller. I think Franzen and Quincy are very underrated here and Bert is overrated. Poor D skills and very minimal O skills. Essentially a SO specialist at this point in his career.

We're the #1 eastern wild card right now! who would've guessed? This team may very well creep back into the playoffs again like last year . God bless the RWs

He played well tonight, so it doesn't seem like a concussion occurred

Dallas Eakins loses his cool...thanks to some water

I feel bad for them. They have acquired the young talent but they need the appropriate coach and veterans to adjust them to the league, They need a Scotty Bowman and a Brendan Shanahan. If I'm Edmonton I'm chasing vets (even a guy like Bertuzzi) and the most experienced coach I can get. I think Buffalo had the right idea signing Nolan, even if I don't like him. -
If you take Gooses stats since the Olympic break and pro-rate them a full 82 game season, he'd be on pace for over 130 pts this season. I think guys like Yzerman and Crosby do that sort of thing but I can't remember....
-
RFA, 23 years old, high draft pick, big, violent, on pace for 30 pts as mostly a bottom liner, and he's going to be cheap? You think Vancouver of all teams is going to sell him cheap? He'll net a 1st rounder at the very very least. He's a mid-range RFA that's proven most of his value comes from bad penalties and team distractions, only Garth Snow would make a move to acquire his rights. No GM in their right mind is gonna give up what's necessary to take a a chance on this guy. He'll probably remain in Van.

Is the Real Brendan Smith Finally Starting the Show Up?
number9 replied to NYC Wings Fanatic's topic in General
Kronwall - Smith Dekeyser - Ericsson Kind - Quincey IMO is the best D pairing when healthy. Kronwall gives Smith the support he needs when he wants to pinch or join the rush (which I believe is his biggest strength) E and D and can shut down opposing teams top lines and Kindl and Quincey may be able to do better work with more sheltered minutes and easier matchups -
Will have room on the 50 man roster for him and everyone needing to be re-signed this summer?

*Futurama Fry meme* Not sure if trolling, or just doesn't know s****

E looks good with Kronwall, Smith looks good with Kronwall, I'm noticing a trend. -
Nyquist will probably be around 30 when Z retired. Not like he'll be a kid anymore.
-
Yes, center, but I think he plays some wing as well. In the interview he basically said he dreams to play in the NHL with Datsyuk (2nd choice caps) and believes that the sooner he comes over the better.
-
Haven't been any Russians available that aren't text book D bags. I'm surprised we haven't drafted another Russian other than Marchenko... Though they are proving to be riskier to draft
-
Didn't realize he still had a year. So Kassian then?
-
This years Brunner. His favorite player is Datsyuk. Naturally He's 22 undrafted. Basically exploded this year in the KHL. Every NHL team will be fielding him offers, but he's rumored to the Red Wings because Datsyuk is his idol. *Obligatory Kassian mention*
-
I like what Kassian brings, I don't like that he's a cheap shot artist. He's RFA though so it's highly unlikely we even pursue him let alone get him for something reasonable. Adding Malykhin and Mantha is already more than enough at F

They had to. Couldn't re-sign him. -
But if we trade Datsyuk, Z, and Kronners, we can have him...
