Oh yeah sorry, I computed it according to an 82 game schedule.

On pace for 178 pts and 85 goals now

Listening to the radio today... They said Zetterbergs back pain is 20 times worse than it was in the past. He can't even move and hasn't come back to Detroit yet bc the pain is too bad to travel. He likely needs back surgery and could be done for the season. Datsyuk still not 100% yet, but still playing.
-
Yeah meant we wouldn't have to move much for him. However he's got an NTC
-
Edler Edler Edler. He does a little bit of everything but moves the puck very well. He's struggling with Torts, so we could add him for cheap if they'll move him. He needs to be among our better swedes so he can reinvent himself in Detroit.

And with what cap space will we fit that player in? Trading involves us losing salary. The only way that happens is we trade Sammy and a pick for a bucket of pucks... That's not a trade Kenny's going to make

Trade deadline fast approaching - who should we target?

It's all a little pointless. With our cap situation and all our overpaid valueless vets, we're not going to trade for anyone. It would involve moving someone of current or future potential to clear cap space and Ken won't do that. Even trading someone like Smith wouldn't work. We could get someone who's better NOW, but he'll likely have a higher salary than Smith. So yeah no trades this season -

USA's entire forward corps looks awesome. Not many pushovers in there. Gonna be some high skilled blue collar hockey outta that group. -

Love Gudas. Which is why I doubt Tampa would flip him for Quincey -

I gotta say I think Team USA, Team Sweden, and Team Canada look stacked, on paper anyway. Especially the two North American teams. Those rosters look like they can score and throw some weight around. Sweden looks super skilled. Russia has a great top 6, but IMO the rest of the team looks pretty mediocre, aside from the goaltending. Finland looks weak after all their injuries. Rest of the bigger teams look ok, just not that deep. Talking about men's -
Forgot neidereitter as well

Steven Stamkos will not play for Team Canada at the Sochi Olympics.

I'd give it to Giroux just cause he's a C -
Well Miller still has a contract next year, so looks like we get him regardless. And Eaves is waiverable
-
If Vanek went to Minnesota they'd have a darn good top 6 Parise - Koivu - Vanek Coyle - Granlund - Pominville
-
Again, their is no source to the rumor, so I don't take it seriously. Either way I think it's smarter to get the kings ransom for Vanek like they did... And then just overpay various vets in various positions in FA to mentor your young stars and hit the cap floor
-
I agree with everything you said, but I give Weiss the benefit cause he's barely a vet, a lot younger than the other three. Still plenty of time to regain his form. The other 3 are at the end of their careers
-
That tidbit was from an "anonymous source" so I don't really believe it. It doesn't make sense either. You're rebuilding and instead of getting a 1st, 2nd, and another player you can flip for a first... you pay your Nash caliber player Ovechkin level money? Makes no sense. I'm sure he declined a good deal with buffalo for the very same reason hes denying good deal with NYI, both teams stink. But just cause he doesn't want to be on stinky team doesn't mean he's not going to wait till FA for Minnesota to pay him Perry level money.
-
Just saying both are very unlikely Ran the numbers MADD puts out a few years ago. Just go to their site. They conveniently don't run the numbers for u. Sorry for leaving hockey realm mods

Wow look at those leading stats.... We should probs trade dats for backstrom. I mean hes younger right? Right? *blows brains out*

Hypothetical: What Coach Would You Replace Babcock With?

That will only work if we re-sign Lilja to shut down the easterns various superstars Lebda anyone? -
I agree with you... to an extent. Howie is good, consistent, nothing to write home about. Same with halak, when he was in MTL or STL
-
Vanek has been a money player his entire career and now wants to test FA for money? Yeah, pass

Little known fact: Well over 99% of drunk drivers drive without incident everyday (about 99.7%). Not trying to be offensive, just trying to be right. The media like to exaggerate to sell copies and get clicks. Don't forget that. Every Olympics has threats and concerns surrounding it. Funny how you didn't hear North American media outlets going on and on incessantly about possible threats in Vancouver when they hosted, even though there were MANY. But big, bad, evil Russia hosts, and it is nothing but scare stories on the "news". (I expected as much, being that "the west" hates Russia) Not to mention that the NHL never wanted their product (ie: the players) to go to Sochi in the first place in case they got injured, so it is no surprise that they would jump on any excuse they could to try to get the players to stay home.
