That should about sum it up. When it comes to Big Mike, he appears like a Carkner to me. Big mean D-man on wheels. Would be a fantastic bottom pairing guy. Can't see him making a transition to forward. Just cause he has the speed doesn't mean he has the skill set. If he was a forward, I'd try to convince him to play D. Much like Ericsson.

I don't think he's a disappointment. He's a guy that creates energy and is capable of 30 points. Which I'm sure he could do if he played. Looks like a dumb contract for the little amount of ice time he's getting

Sather isn't the best GM, but I wouldn't put him in the same boat as snow or howson. Guy has an eye for talent and drafts really well -

In his 3 years drafting with the Oilers he's had 34 draft picks. About 9 of those were good picks, IMO. And 3 of those 9 are First overall picks and 7 of them are first or second rounders And that's despite having the highest average picks almost every year. IMO our prospect pool looks just as good, even though we pick way lower and often trade away our first. EDIT: 9 good picks -

Prediction: Mrazek lives up to the hype, becomes #1 in 3-4 years, Jimmy is traded away to finish the last few years of his contract, signs here again as a 35-36 year old veteran to back up Mrazek in his last years. Kinda like Osgood/Hasek, not Luongo/Schneider -

Can't believe anyone on here even considers him a top 4 guy. The #4 spot is the most I'd give him. He'd be a terrible player to bring into this organization. Underachieves like crazy. Zero intensity in his game. Rather have Huskins. -

I think it only works rarely. Byflugien is one of the few who can do it. Chara and Pronger as forwards on the PP works well on occasion too. E is probably the one I'd play as a forward though, If I had to. Put him in front of the opponents net. -
