Great offensive D-man with grit...his defensive instincts just suck...worth 3.5 - 4 mill Wiz had a bit of a rough career...floated between many different teams before he could ever establish and prove himself...then his rights got traded to a team that he knew would over pay for him (his big break) so he demanded an arm and a leg and the always desperate Jackets bit the hook. When media asked him why he didn't wait and go to Detroit what was he gonna do? tell the truth? that he wanted that big pay day and he knew Columbus would give it to him? Of course not....Instead he talked some smack about Detroit who is a divisional rival and was a favorite to get him. Basically, he was a good teammate and publicly fully committed to his new team. While his comments were anti-Detroit, they were not classless. Deep down Wiz know's he's overpayed, and he also knows Detroit is one of the most respectable organizations ever. He simply traded cup for cash, and he had to be firm in that decision. I respect that. CBJ is just one big mess of an organization. Overpaying everyone and turning down all of the Isles picks! Surprised Howson and Snow aren't both fired yet...

No....It's very apparent you don't know what hearsay means It's called politics, and most of the time it's sleezy. The Wild have done some clever political maneuvering....They allowed a well trimmed rumor to leak in such a way that no legal action would ever stick....Smart? Yes... Dirty? Yes.... A big deal? No....No s*** Minnesota is interested in Parise... This leak wasn't even directed at Parise though. The leak was aimed at other GM's....They want this in the back of other GM's heads on July 1st so that they will think "Minny is just gonna out bid us no matter what so let's just focus all our attention on our #2 choice while other GM's waste their time in a losing bidding war with Minny"....Luckily Holland isn't stupid and he knows this is just mind games and politics. The Wild are not dumb either...They're not going to out bid any offer and give Parise a ridiculous contract, they just want others to think that they will.

lol dude the last thing I am is a grass is greener kind of guy.....i am in touch with reality though, and Parise is a much much much better hockey player than Hudler, I don't care what bogus stat your looking at. If someone gave you the option of having Hudler at 4 mill or Parise at 8 mill and you actually took Hudler I'd lose all faith in the hockey gods

I'm more of a traditional wings with bones fan myself, love love love the blazin sauce too. So spicy. Stuff will go straight to your noggan though. Makes my eyes water and I can't think straight...One time I had 20 wings with blazin sauce and I almost traded Fil for Vanek.....Then I had some celery and ranch. *Whew* close one.

Well if you ever decide to actually watch a hockey game or two you might notice that: Parise >>>>>>>> Hudler...everyday of the week and on weekends.

This is all opinion, but I thought the kid looked real strong between the pipes playing for NSH this year. A lot of talent.....being 6'6" 200lbs doesnt hurt either lol.

At that point my guess would be Holland would bring back Hudler, sign someone Seminish, sign someone Widemanish, and add that #2 goaltender. Do I like this? No. Hudler will be overpaid, Semin will be Semin, and Wideman/Quincey/Smith < Lidstrom/Stuart. Holland's got the money though and he's not going to do nothing with it....And basically he's not going to go with a youth movement for the sake of going with a youth movement. I think our young players would be given a lot of chances to make the team though if this happened. Maybe a trade....maybe

Yeah I know I know, Stuart, even though his stats have been ok, he's just looked like a shell of his former self this last year, looked like he was on a downswing, and shultz looks like hes on a big upswing....highly touted prospect and has like a max of 19 years in him while Stuart has a max of like 8....I'd personally rather get Stuarts rights than Schultz's but i think young talent is just more valued on the NHL market often times

What I like about this is he said "no way" to the Rangers. Not just that they're outta the race for him, but it shows that he's not just gonna go to whoever throws the most money at him. He's considering where he wants to play too. I think Detroit can make a very strong pitch to him.

I think Schultz is more valuable then Stuart. And you know Kenny let his pal Stewie pick where he wanted to go Wouldn't be surprised to see that 7th, Murray, and another pick go to the Ducks for Schultz though

I think this is just Minnesota playing mind games. They're not going to outbid a 9 million dollar offer from a poop team, Leo is a decent GM, he's not stupid. Minnesota is letting these rumors leak so that "oh well, Minnesota is just going to outbid us anyway lets focus on someone else instead while it's still early" is in the back of other GM's heads on July 1st....Holland knows when smoke is being blown up his ass. He needs to ignore this BS and go hard for Parise come July. I think Parise is worth around 7 million...though he'll be offered more. We'll find out if he's about the money or about winning soon enough. If he's only about the money I don't want him anyway...

I think he'll sign if he gets traded to a team he wants to play for and they offer him the contract he wants....he'll go to UFA july 1st if he gets traded to a poop team like nashville thoug. His rights wont go to Detroit. NSH hates us too much
