Teammates gave me a sweet nickname that somehow caught on with my coach, other teams, refs, and even fans. Which was weird cause we didn't have names on the backs of our sweaters. But still everyone called me nine. -

I'm fine with Z, Dats, Abby, Babs etc. cause they're just shortened versions of players names. It's when I see Godstrom, Diesel, X-cross, etc. that I get super annoyed. Nicknames, like on an actual hockey team, are a community thing. Like goose is fine, cause it's widely accepted by pretty much all wings fans and everyone knows who ur talking about. It's posters who randomly come up with a name like diesel and then use it nonstop that's super annoying. -

I know. I quit my job recently because the guy I trained to be a manager (I'm a manager as well) wanted my job. So instead on sending him to the branch that needed a manager I stepped down and assumed a corporate job I hate. Ain't I a good guy? Praise me. -
