So, here in Atlanta, we got this terrible snow storm the other day that dropped three inches of snow and an inch of ice on top of that. Needless to say, they don't have the equipment down here to get everything running like up north so people were out driving like they had no idea what winter weather was. (In fairness, they might not have known.) I was walking to the gas station at the corner and I saw a guy get stuck in the ice then proceed to put on the gas so much that his tires caught on fire. I've never seen that before. Ever. Anywhere.

You know what I thought of earlier? Lidstrom has never NOT been in the playoffs his entire NHL career. (Aside from the lockout.)

I try to, but it just doesn't taste as good. Lol. Last time I really became a health nut, I ate so much chicken that I couldn't eat any again for about 6 months. I had eaten it every night, prepared differently, for almost a year. Now I watch what I use to make my dishes with - non-fat butter, etc. - but I'll never go back to eating everything healthy all the time. I remember when the fad at my high school was eating salad with lemon juice instead of dressing. It was good and all, but it just wasn't Ranch dressing. The person below me prefers summer to winter.

Agreed, Puckloo. It bothers me to hear news sources refer to him as a suspect, but it bothers me more to see how this issue has turned into a right/left political debate. Innocent people were murdered and many more injured. The last thing the media should be doing is trying to divide people against each other.. especially on an issue that you would think would get the same horrified reaction out of just about anybody. The shooting has made me realize more and more how serious an untreated mental disorder is. I read some reports that the young man in question exhibited signs of schizophrenia at an early age, but his parent(s) never took him to get checked/treated. His own classmates and teachers were afraid he was going to bring a gun to school. How are you so uninvolved with your own child's life that you don't realize he's turning into a psychopath?

Yep. Especially when any kind of celebrity status is attached to it. Some things will just never change. True enough. I think I heard one of the announcers mention Z's back bothering him during a recent game. Either way, I'm sure his back was the excuse. It's always his back.
